He was portrayed by Reiner Schöne.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Had his two sons battle to the death and stated that whichever of his sons killed the other in battle would be his heir.
- Disowned Rayden after Rayden hesitated to kill Kahn.
- He and Shao Kahn took over several realms and destroyed at least one before the film's events
- Shinnok is also the reason why Shao Kahn is the way he is, as while abusing his minions, Kahn repeats the same lines Shinnok said to him when expressing disappointment.
- He threatens Kahn that if he fails him, he will take his soul.
- Attempted to wipe out all life on Earth so he could rule over it
- Oversaw Kahn murdering Rayden after he denies his final offer of peace, sneering that Rayden shall die alongside the humans he's dedicated himself to protecting.
- Overall, he is responsible for the events of the original live-action duology.
Trivia[]
- Shinnok is, alongside Shang Tsung (1995) and Sub-Zero (2021), one of the three live-action Mortal Kombat villains to be Pure Evil.
