Sheriff Gregory Sabin is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Red) of the 2011 film Shark Night 3D. He is the corrupt local county sheriff who abuses his power to assist Dennis Crim and profit from their snuff filming scheme.
What makes him Pure Evil?[]
- Even before his total fall into villainy, he was already a corrupt sheriff who regularly took bribes from criminals and brutally over enforces his authority.
- Casually steals a beer from Sara and her friends before resuming his duties presumably in an inebriated condition.
- Allows Dennis Crim to release deadly sharks into the local water.
- Abuses his authority to help Crim unlawfully capture and release numerous sharks for their snuff filming project.
- It’s also likely he wanted to gather as much rapport on Crim as possible if he ever found himself in a tight pinch.
- Gives Nick soup to calm his nerves which tranquilizes him so he can capture and kill him.
- Congratulates Crim for successfully tranquilizing Sara with a dart and mockingly tells her she should've just taken the soup.
- Ties up Nick to feed him to a tiger shark, only briefly hesitating when Nick requests he change the radio to a station he enjoys as well.
- His excuse about not getting enough respect for his work as the sheriff doesn't hold up at all, as Sara and her friends didn't even disrespect him in any way.
- Like Crim, he also doesn't care at all for the sharks as he personally wasn't fazed by the hammerhead killed by Malik.
