Commander Sendak is a major antagonist in the Netflix original television show Voltron: Legendary Defender. He was a seemingly loyal commander of Zakron until his death, in which Sendak usurped the throne of the Galra Empire for himself, and set out to exterminate the Lions and Earth.
He is voiced by Jake Eberle.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Though he initially seems to be faithful to Zakron, he later demonstrates that he is extremely selfish and truly cares for no one when he usurps the throne from Lotor.
- He ravages Earth, killing numerous people and torturing and placing those who survived into concentration camps. His motivation was to find the Lions, but he caused terrorism and innumerable deaths out of pure spite.
- After setting up a deal with Admiral Sanda (who betrayed the Voltrons and told Sendak about their plans to destroy his Zaiforge Cannons) which involved receiving the Lions in exchange for withdrawing from Earth, Sendak immediately betrays her and imprisons her along with the Paladins (the Voltron’s top pilots). Afterward, he attempts to use the Zaiforge Cannons to annihilate Earth.
