Senator Aaron McComb is the main antagonist of the 1994 film Timecop. He is a corrupt U.S. Senator who oversees the TEC (Time Enforcement Commission) for selfish purposes, and tries to misuse time travel to re-write the past in order to become rich and be elected President of the United States, becoming an enemy of Max Walker in the process.
He was played by the late Ron Silver.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He's a corrupt and power-hungry man determined to become President at any cost, stating that once elected he will enact policies to favor the wealthiest 10%.
- He routinely sends his men back in time to change history to make him rich with no concern as to the effect this may have on the world.
- He kills anyone in his way, having his men gun down a group of Confederate soldiers in 1863 to steal their gold and organizing numerous attempts on Walker's life.
- He treats his men terribly, threatening to erase their entire families from existence along with anyone who knows them should they testify against him.
- He sends his agents to the past to murder Walker so he can never join the TEC and become a threat to him, with the agents beating Walker severely and nearly killing him, while killing his wife (along with her unborn child) by blowing up her house.
- He travels back to 1994 to interfere in a business deal between his past self and his former colleague Jack Parker, warning his past self not to sell his stake in a tech company which he knows will make huge profits in the future. He then sadistically guns down Walker so he will have sole control over his company. As a result this re-writes his own future, causing him to now be in charge of the TEC which he orders shut down so it can't interfere with his plans.
- It's revealed he threatened Walker's colleague Sarah Fielding with erasing her family to make her switch sides, then betrays her by wounding her in a shootout and leaving her for dead. He subsequently sends men to kill her in the hospital by sabotaging her IV tube to eliminate her as a witness.
- When Walker goes back in time to prevent his wife's death, McComb follows him back and holds Walker's wife hostage, revealing he's rigged a bomb to blow up the house with them all inside, gloating that even if they all die here the past McComb will still become President. When Walker outwits him by luring the past McComb there, the future McComb shoots Walker's wife anyway (though she survives this).
- While his death of being merged with his past self and melting into goo is grotesque, he unquestionably deserved it.
