“ | You know, being a Quintesson is not as glamorous as you might think. Judging and condemning entire universes seems like it would be satisfying. But the work is never done. So I really do enjoy our little game. | „ |
~ Scientist revealing he doesn't even gain pleasure from assisting the Quintessons in their omnicidal scheme anymore. |
The Scientist is a major antagonist in Transformers: Cyberverse, serving as the secondary antagonist of the Quintesson Invasion arc of Season 3.
He is the dangerously sadistic scientist of the Quintessons, having developed the very tools the they need to destroy countless universes and their other equipment necessary as well. He is also an avid collector of Soundwaves, retaining them as souvenirs for each universe he destroyed.
He was voiced by Dick Terhune.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He is the very engineer behind the destruction of countless universes done by the Quintessons, having been the one that created the very equipment and the Judges needed. And nothing indicates he assists them out of genuine loyalty and more of an excuse to do sadistic actions and fanatical supremacism.
- To make things worse, the Scientist's sadism in such destructive plots has grown thin as the endless work made condemning and destroying every universe more mundane, boring and stressful, yet he still willingly serves the Quintessons even when he no longer gains any pleasure from it.
- In order to keep himself interested when condemning and destroying universes became less enjoyable, the Scientist kidnaps the Soundwave of each universe he created the equipment to destroy, having imprisoned them and forces them to be figurines to become his extremely huge souvenir collection for the rest of eternity itself. This is taken with horror as Soundwave, a generally emotionless Cybertronian, was extremely horrified and disgusted by this and even threatened to kill him for this.
- He brainwashes the Titan Croaton to serve the Quintessons, and he was aware of all that was happening around him as well but was completely helpless.
- Kidnaps natives of each universe to inflict horrific experiments on them and mutilates them into the Judges to condemn each universe to death. Though one of them was Starscream, who was the vilest of them, the rest were most likely not as callous as him and were subjected to horrific fates.
- Develops a machine that traps most of Cybertron's population in an endless loop to slowly drain their sparks and the Allspark, the artifact that sustains Cybertronian life, as well. The process already killed many Autobots and Decepticons.
- Gleefully assists Starscream's personal attempt to destroy the main universe.
- Despite questioning him on his excessive sadism in doing so, this is not out of any moral reasons, but instead, he deems it a waste of time & an unnecessary delay. He even says the main universe will be destroyed anyways when the verdict is made official.
- His death is played for satisfaction as the resulting culmination of his actions.
Trivia[]
- The Scientist is the only Cyberverse Pure Evil to be voiced by neither Billy Bob Thompson (who voiced Starscream & Trypticon) nor Marc Thompson (who voiced Megatron X and Soundblaster). Alongside Prometheus Black/Meltdown and Dr. Meridian/Mandroid, he is one of three Transformers Pure Evil Villains to be neither Cybertronians nor humans (though the latter two used to be humans before mutating into monsters).
