NOTE: This page is only about his incarnation in the Djoricverse as the incarnations of the Scarlet King in other canons have mitigating qualities, and thus only the Djoricverse version of the Scarlet King's info and crimes should be put here. |
“ | With the war declared, the King took Sanna by force, and lay with her for seven days and seven nights, until the Mother of Those Beneath Us was broken beneath the King. When this was completed, he rose in her blood, and was from then on known as Shormaush Urdal - the Scarlet King. | „ |

Khahrahk, later known more famously as the Scarlet King, is the main antagonist in the SCP Foundation Mythos.
He is an ancient and demonic god who is untold amounts of eons old and is the son of the Third Brood. He appears in countless articles and tales across the SCP site, often tied to the end of existence itself.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- While it is explainable why he wants to destroy all of existence due to finding it painful to himself, it does not justify him raping his wife to her death or impregnating his daughters. To summarize, he committed these horrible actions for his own benefit, making his motive a selfish one. By extension, it contextualizes his horrendous treatment of his own family as his way of subjecting others to the same misery that he experiences, destroying their happiness in the process simply to sate his own lack thereof.
- He is by far the most powerful evil in the mythos, but has not been encountered directly by the Foundation. According to SCP-4231, he is also indirectly responsible for Clef's insanity.
- He decided that all of existence should be destroyed once and for all, starting by devouring his own siblings and gaining strength from their essences.
- He declared war on all of creation, which would not end until existence itself was gone.
- He subjugated or destroyed other gods. One of the gods he subjugated was a goddess named Sanna, whom he took as his wife before raping her to death. In the process, she gave birth to seven daughters, whom he then impregnated with Leviathans.
- He had the children of A'nuht crippled to ensure their inability to resist him.
- Because of his power, many gods fell and offered their services before him, like Moloch, the Hanged King, Jeser, and the Factory.
- He inspired acts of human sacrifice by his numerous worshippers, such as the Daevites, James Anderson, and the Children of the Scarlet King; he would inspire the Children to rape the SCP-231 instances and impregnate them with abominations, one of which would destroy the Earth if born.
- Because of this, the SCP Foundation had to enact a horrific procedure known as Procedure 110-Montauk on SCP-231-7, which involves brutal acts of violence, such as rape and torture, in order to keep the Leviathan away.
- SCP-3838-8 is another tribe inspired by him to do his evil acts. The citizens of SCP-4547 formed a cult called the Blood Children in worship of him.
- Granting immense power to the Daevite civilization, he led them to serve and worship him and conquer in his name.
- This also makes the Scarlet King responsible for Daevite civilization’s many crimes and could indirectly be responsible for the creation of the religion “Sarkicism” and the Sarkic empire.
- Brainwashing Hevel into becoming the immortal barbarian, Ab-Leshal. He is also the reason why Hevel became SCP-076-2.
- Indirectly responsible for the deaths of Hakhana (Mekhane), Adam, Hawwah (Eve), and the People of the Valley. He is also the reason why Nahash ran away.
- Indirectly responsible for the destruction of the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge.
- Because of his actions, the All-Mighty/God granted Hevel the power to cause the Flood to reset the timeline and erase the Scarlet King’s influence.
- Plenty of SCPs are connected to him in some way. For example, SCP-682 and 999 are his children, and SCP-035 and Bobble the Clown are members of his court.
- In "Three Short Scenes About Death," he is depicted as abusing a harem of enslaved concubines that are "men, women, and others."
- In "Three Short Scenes About Death," the eldest of the brothers, All-Death, shows up to the Scarlet King's birthday simply to remind him of his inevitable destruction. The King can do little more than give empty boasts and threats, while sinking back into his chair. This is apparently a yearly occurrence. Despite this being rather comedic, it does not detract from his heinousness.
- He destroyed most of creation and cast down all the other gods in his fury.
- When the dead were revived and marched to kill the King, they were destroyed by his hordes.
- The Scarlet King killed most of the heroes, which included Harker, Saturn Deer, SCP-2845, Set, the Empress of Antarctica, Grace, and A'habbat.
Trivia[]
- He has been influenced by three Pure Evils: Nyarlathotep, the Crimson King, and Angra Mainyu.
- Since in SCP-001 (Tufto's Proposal) it is revealed that this version of the Scarlet King is an incarnation of the living idea of the being created from humanity believing that the legend about his atrocities was true, this would disqualify the Scarlet King from being Pure Evil as he lacks moral agency due to being made of evil. However, given that the reader is free to choose their own continuity about the SCP Foundation, the Scarlet King can still qualify in continuities where the events of Tufto's Proposal are not canon, like in the Djoricverse.
