Satan is the main antagonist of the 1999 action/terror film End of Days. He is a demonic fallen angel and the ruler of Hell.
He was portrayed by Gabriel Byrne.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He was once an angel who willingly rebelled against God to become the lord of Hell, which keeps him from being Made of Evil.
- He uses a Wall Street banker as his host to achieve his plan. He later kisses the wife of the banker's friend in front of said friend and after leaving the restaurant, he casually causes an explosion that kills everyone still inside, murdering dozens of innocent people without a second thought.
- Shortly after possession, he publicly kisses and fondles the wife of his host’s friend in front of the man, humiliating and degrading them both then raped and harassed various women in his way.
- Plans to rape Christine to conceive the Antichrist, who will open the gates of Hell and bring the End of Days.
- He psychologically tormented Christine with frightening images that foreshadowed his rape of her.
- At a hospital, he gruesomely crucifies Thomas Aquinas, a Vatican priest who tried to stop him, on the ceiling. Aquinas barely survives the torture before Satan's disguised follower shoots him dead.
- Tries to tempt Jericho into giving up Christine in exchange for having his dead family back, also playing a visual re-enactment of their murder just to torment him.
- When Jericho refuses his offer, Satan tries to drop him to his death from a window.
- When Bobby, one of his loyal followers, refuses to kill Jericho, he sets him ablaze in front of Christine and Jericho, killing him in the most agonizing way possible.
- On a subway train, he kills the conductor to take control of the vehicle. He then sabotages the train, causing a massive crash and destruction. His actions endanger everyone nearby, although Jericho and Christine narrowly escape.
- Abandons his host to die once he's mortally wounded.
- Possesses Jericho and attempts to rape Christine before Jericho finally manages to take control of his body and sacrifice himself.
