Santa Claus is a major antagonist of the Shueisha dark fantasy manga series Chainsaw Man, serving as the main antagonist of the International Assassins arc.
Falsely appearing as a sickly maiden who is also a mentor towards the Russian Devil Hunter, Tolka. But in reality, she made a contract with several devils including the likes of the Doll Devil and Darkness Devil.
She achieved this by using an old man from Germany as a decoy for the Santa Claus persona. In addition, she molds Tolka into the perfect pawn to be sacrificed alongside Denji for her pact with the Darkness Devil in order to harness the power she was given in order to take down Makima, for unknown motivations and reasons.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- Made a contract with a Doll Devil which allowed her to turn people into dolls and perfect dolls, she then used this ability across the entire world.
- Turned an old man in Germany into a perfect doll for herself and sacrificed him later when she made a deal with the Darkness Devil.
- Falsifies an act of a sickly maiden, in order to manipulate Tolka into obeying her and slowly transforming him into her perfect pawn.
- Allowed three of the four children to be sacrificed by the Hell Devil, with her mentioning that she wanted to keep the other one "for pleasure" implying that she is a pedophile.
- Stabs Denji three times with a Curse Devil nail, and tells Tolka to do the fourth which would kill him instantly.
- Turned thousands of innocent civilians into dolls all across the world in order to get Denji's heart for herself.
- After Tolka kills Denji, she then congratulates him by touching him which transforms him into the perfect doll, erasing his very personality.
- Transported the Devil Hunters, Denji and Tolka to Hell which caused almost all of them to be massacred or mutilated by the Darkness Devil, it even left Power scarred by the terrifying experience.
- Tells Denji about her countless dolls that are scattered across the world while taunting Denji about the horrific implications that a person who turn into a doll can attack him at anytime.
- She then has all of her dolls suffer great pain and fear despite their seemingly dead nature simply to throw Denji off for him not wanting to harm any humans.
- Intended to bring Denji's body alongside Tolka for sacrifice purposes in order to gain the ultimate power bestowed.
- Turns two of Quanxi's girlfriends into dolls, and forces them to kill an impaled Quanxi.
- Although receiving her fate, given by Cosmo, of receiving all the knowledge of the universe making her unable to think about anything other than halloween for eternity is a horrible fate, she deserved it for all the harm she caused.
Trivia[]
- She is currently the only Chainsaw Man villain to be Pure Evil.
- She shares the same name as the iconic jolly fat man who gives presents on Christmas however unlike this version the original Santa is portrayed as a kind and good hearted man who brings joy to kids all over the world however this version of Santa Claus isn't anywhere close to that.
