Seventh Spear, Sandaaru is the leader of the Seven Darkness Spears of the Jakanja, the second-in-command to Tau Zant and the secondary antagonist of Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger. He was Tau Zant's top general and enforcer and his most valuable servant as well as the most powerful Dark Spear.
He was voiced by Shūichi Ikeda, who voiced Masayoshi Shido from Persona 5 in Japanese dub.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Before the events of the series, he destroyed countless innocent planets, killing countless innocent intelligent beings.
- Ambushed and killed Sargain, after he unlocked the Raging Arrow and the Jakanja had collected all the necessary data on it, and took it for himself.
- He also remorselessly killed the Grieving Bow's owner Lady Gozen so he can take it.
- Secretly planned to betray Tau Zant and usurp the control of Jakanja.
- When he learned that Tau Zant manipulated him from the beginning, he betrayed and killed his former master, after he opened the wormhole to destroy the universe, although Tau Zant actually survived.
- Also his disgust at being used isn't out of any standards because he didn't like that HE was used. As to the other spears that were also used by Tau Zant, he couldn't care less.
- Turned on his comrade Sakatakura, who thought he and Sandaaru were friends, and breaks off the sixth spear's mask out of convenience, which turns him from being laughably evil to a mindless, rampaging monster.
- Attacked and tried to destroy the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers.
- As he is finally killed, he tried taking down the Goraigers with him. While they survived, he managed to destroy Goraijin.
Trivia[]
- He is one of Three Pure Evils in Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger, along with Tau Zant and Manmaruba.
- His Power Rangers counterpart Vexacus, is less heinous since he is not known to have destroyed countless planets and his two onscreen kills were other villains. Whether or not this prevents Vexacus from reaching PE status is currently unknown.
- Gokaiger reveals that he had a son, Sandaaru Jr. who now works for the Zangyack along with Sakatakura Jr. However, whether or not he cared about his son is not revealed since the father is long dead and Jr. was not known until he appeared in Gokaiger. If it was confirmed that he cared for him, it may have removed him from his PE status.
