What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Unlike Hiro Shishigami who has murdered up to thousands of people, despite his redeeming qualities and is rather played for sympathy. Samejima has absolutely no redeeming qualities and has zero remorse for his actions, despite his one-shot role, he manages to be much more worse than Hiro.
- It was stated he has abducted, drugged, and raped women as a hobby of his, meaning he's done this to several women repeatedly until they died from being overdosed on the drugs. In return he has them disposed of when he no longer sees value to it.
- However, we never saw just exactly how many were victimized by him. On the contrary, it's not considered offscreen villainy because when we were first introduced to him, his latest victim was seen in bed, naked and drugged wounds all over her body, Samejima even orders the corpse to be ridden off, so with evidence seen, he ultimately stands out for that.
- In a sauna, he orally raped an underling of his for not moving aside. Despite his pleas for forgiveness, Samejima continued to humiliate him just to show he was in power, showing his heartless, cruel nature of wanting to dominate others to his will.
- He targeted Fumino Inoune, a local employee and engaged to Satoru, stalked and abducted her back into his apartment. Just as he was about to have his way with her by nearly kissing her, the girl fought back.
- When chasing around Fumino, he sadistically taunted her before managing to give his left wrist a bleeding wound.
- He manages to track down Fumino at her and Satoru's apartment, breaking down the door with a gun, followed by his grunts as he threateningly tells her that he'll rape her over and over, shooting her up with drugs regardless, and show her "heaven". This indicates how his nature is acknowledged and how truly evil he is.
- When Satoru attempts to negotiate to give Samejima money to save Fumino, he only mocks his appearance and proceeds to strangle him out of sheer pettiness, killing him in the process. But even if this was undone by Inuyashiki, who fought him off before running out of energy, this still impacts the fact that Satoru was ultimately defenseless against Samejima and left him in despair once he abducted Fumino away from him, it shows how cruel Samejima can be.
- It's possible he had his way with Fumino back at his apartment, raped and drugged her in the process, only leaving her for dead in despair. She was seen with multiple drugged wounds and naked on the bed after Inuyashiki took care of him and the whole Yakuza, crying for her dear Satoru before Inuyashiki notified her that he was still alive.
- He attempts to kill Inuyashiki when the latter breaks into his organization's building but to no avail given his body being fully cyborg. To which he ultimately breaks down from his arrogance.
- When he got punched heavily, he still threatened Inuyashiki that his men would hunt him down alongside his family, showing him who he was messing with as his men prepared to fire their guns at him.
- After being completely crippled from his eyes to body limbs, Samejima apathetically states he didn't do anything wrong, this demonstrates that he is ultimately beyond redemption and refuses to acknowledge his own faults.
- Out of all the humans who did bad things and are just as bad as Hiro, Samejima stands out as the most disgusting and hateful among them. His actions are so unforgiving that Inuyashiki calls him out that he wants to get rid of people like him who don't deserve their lives, despite not being willing to do so. It's also possible that he serves as a reminder that other humans like himself are realistically vile than Hiro himself, despite the latter being a mass murderer of thousands.
- Despite Hiro Shishigami setting the standards of the series, Samejima still stands out given his crimes are rather unique, with himself being a serial rapist and the only one so far, not to mention being only the head of a Yakuza organization rather than a powerful cyborg like Hiro himself.
Trivia[]
- While Hiro is the most evil of the series for his high bodycount, Samejima actually is meant to serve as his polar opposite and an embodiment of what it means to be truly evil. Thus, Samejima is the only Inuyashiki Pure Evil to be more worse than Hiro, to compare, Hiro is meant to be portrayed as more human despite his murders while Samejima is portrayed as inhuman, making him more evil than the latter.
