“ | True, but I wanted to do it. You understand the difference. Mmm, and I can smell the blood on you, as well. Wonderfully refreshing, isn't it? | „ |
~ Sabretooth's reply when Wolverine tells him he didn't have to kill two cops. |
“ | Go ahead--cut my face open. It'll just heal, the same way yours would. If you haven't figured it out yet, we're different from other people, Logan. That's why we're soul mates, why you joined up with me and why we're going to stay together. But being like me wasn't enough for you. That's why you got claws, because you wanted to be even more lethal. Face it, Logan. You're worse than I am. | „ |
~ Sabretooth's "not so different" remark to Wolverine. |
Victor Creed, also known as Sabretooth, is the main antagonist of "Volume 1: Permanent Rage" in Wolverine MAX. Much like his Earth-616 counterpart, Sabretooth is a feral sadist who has been clashing toe-to-toe with the titular protagonist since the 19th century.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- During an unknown Japanese war in the 1860s, he beheaded a defenseless monk and then drank his blood, an act which even disturbed Wolverine.
- He manipulated Yami Yashida into suicide-bombing a plane with 375 people onboard with the promise of paying her family millions in yen, a bargain that he explicitly had no intention of honoring. Wolverine was the sole survivor of the explosion.
- Even worse, Sabretooth threatens Wolverine that he'll keep doing this to several more planes unless he agrees to locate the Yashida family's sacred sword for him.
- He needlessly decapitates two cops in front of Wolverine.
- He sadistically (albeit thankfully temporarily) blinds Wolverine with the Yashida sword, stabbing his eyes before trying to leave him behind in the woods.
- He plans to take over the Yakuza, and then all of Asia.
Trivia[]
- To date, this is the only Pure Evil version of Sabretooth.
