Sabine Moreau is a major antagonist in the 2011 spy-action film Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, the fourth installment of the Mission: Impossible film series.
She was a French assassin and mercenary who was in league with Kurt Hendricks, paying herself in diamonds for any offer, even to murder people in exchange for them.
She was portrayed by Léa Seydoux.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- It was implied that she previously assisted Kurt Hendricks, and committed killing people under contract for him in the past, where she had assassinated dozens before assassinating Agent Trevor Hanaway.
- She assassinated Hanaway in cold blood, and stole the nuclear launch codes from him as she left him dying on the ground. This not only fueled Agent Jane Carter's pursuit towards vengeance against her, but endangering millions upon the codes she stole.
- Despite not knowing that both Marius Wistrom and Leonid Lisenker are respectively Agents Ethan Hunt and William Brandt, she sold her stolen nuclear launch codes in exchange for diamonds. This was imperative, since she already acknowledged Hendrick's omnicidal plan, and was willing to trade away potential lives of millions, or billions, all for just diamonds.
- When she discovered that the dealers Hunt and Brandt tricked her into believing, were truly IMF agents, she ordered her men to kill both of them.
- She attacked Benji Dunn while he was temporarily distracted, and attempted to kill him before attempting to kill Carter when she intervened in time to save Dunn. Both she and Carter fought each-other, but posthumous vengeance consumed Carter to eventually kick her out of the window to her death, avenging Hanaway's death.
- Despite being a subordinate, with many other main antagonists who passed the Heinous Standard, she passed them due to the structure of Hendricks' plan, as he wouldn't have accomplished decimating San Francisco without her involvement, and yet she has lower resources than him.
- Unlike Hendricks, who had good intentions of causing genocide making him an extremist, Sabine has none at all, and was only doing so because of the diamonds.
Trivia[]
