SCP-UBU is an antagonist in the SCP Foundation series, serving as the main antagonist of D. Ulysses Foole's SCP-001 proposal. It is a pantagruel (a pest species native to the afterlife dimension of Corbenic) which finds its way to Earth upon being granted power by its deity and uses its powers to torture every living thing on Earth for all eternity for its own childish enjoyment.

What Makes It Pure Evil?

• Like its fellow pantagruel, it aims to gain the favour of its deity Nazhdak by terrorizing native tribes, allowing them to raid other dimensions and torment the inhabitants for eternity. Hardly any other pantagruel ever manage to succeed in this because inhabitants of Corbenic can keep them in check very easily and usually prevent them from doing any damage, making UBU more heinous than the rest of its species because it actually succeeds in committing atrocities.
• Upon gaining Nazhdak's favour and being sent to Earth, it annihilates the town of Kangaatsiaq, Greenland, killing most of the population of 250.
• It uses Nazhdak's power to render all living things on Earth immortal in order to prevent them from escaping it before embarking on a 442-year rampage during which it tortures every living thing over and over again. Incidents include:
  • Mutilating every member of a Foundation task force sent to stop it at least five times each over a two-year period;
  • Throwing 2.9 million inhabitants of Columbus, Ohio, into a pit and spending two years jumping up and down on them with such velocity that each jump propels it into the upper stratosphere, crushing them with its 15, 399 kilo body mass, before drinking the bodily fluids squeezed out as a result;
  • Hurling the crew of twenty cargo ships into outer space;
  • Assaulting a summit between NATO, Russia, China, the SCP Foundation and the Global Occult Coalition and impaling fifteen world leaders on a bead necklace made from rebar;
  • Melting SCP-682 and bathing in its bodily fluids for five minutes (it does not regenerate);
  • Tearing off and eating SCP-AFF's head;
  • Throwing SCP-3000 out of the sea and dragging it behind it through Asia and the Americas, crushing a number of cities, before using it to throttle SCP-169;
  • Fighting SCP-169 for 227 years before permanently killing it by melting it with its touch;
  • Skewering a narwhal with a stop sign;
  • Forcing a girl to swallow her father whole;
  • Carrying one man around for a whole week taking bites out of him like he was "his personal turkey leg" until it got bored and threw him away;
  • Taking advantage of the involuntary regeneration to rip someone's legs off twenty times;
  • Impaling Foundation member Laurence Michaud's wife on a broom handle before forcibly bathing Michaud in raw sewage and scrubbing his wife all over him like a scrubbing brush while whistling a tune;
  • Tying SCP-2845's neck in a knot;
  • Rendering all of Earth's landmass uninhabitable, forcing humanity to relocate to the sea.
• Its rampage is so horrific that all but 140 people decide to put themselves into a permanent coma, effectively committing mass suicide, because it's better than being tormented by UBU.
• When Michaud tries to reset the timeline using SCP-001, UBU terrorizes him into suffering a heart attack by humping the side of SCP-001 while whistling the same tune it used during his "bath", before brutalizing, taunting and possibly killing SCP-076-2 when he intervenes to buy Michaud time.
• Over several hundred timeline resets caused by Michaud in an attempt to defeat UBU, it ravages the world in much the same way as it did in the original timeline, including beating up SCP-169 (this time merged with SCP-2803-A) for centuries before once again melting it with its touch.
• When directly confronted by Michaud using a humongous mecha at the beginning of one reset, UBU reveals that it knows his name and taunts him with the tune it whistled while torturing him in the original timeline, revealing that it remembers every timeline and implying that it's following him through the resets to torment him for trying to stop its fun.
• Michaud's eternal war on UBU gradually drives him insane to the point that he starts repeatedly destroying the world and then immediately resetting the timeline with SCP-001, to the point that he suffers a complete breakdown when UBU is eventually killed by the Three Moons Initiative because his life has no meaning without it.
• While it has some comedically over the top moments, they don't detract from its villany as its crimes are played for horror and it's taken completely serious in-universe.
• While its species is naturally cruel, it's shown to have a clear moral agency.
