Run, [EXPLETIVE DELETED].
~ SCP-973-2's usual speech on target car's radio.
I can't really say. He just looked… different. His eyes were red, I remember that, and his mouth was just this black hole. No teeth, no tongue, just a hole. I was too busy shooting at him to get a better look than that.
~ An SCP Foundation Agent describing SCP-973-2's physical appearance.
NOW, ARE WE GOING TO DO THIS THE EASY WAY, OR THE HARD WAY?
~ SCP-973-2 in "Corrido of the Man with Eyes in the Back of His Head".

SCP-973-2, also referred to as Smokey, is a supporting antagonist in the SCP Foundation series.

He's a Euclid-class object under the SCP Foundation's containment. He looks like a humanoid male, appearing to be dressed as a police officer in a uniform from the 1970s, though what he really is is unknown. He is paired with SCP-973-1, his main method of transportation, with both of them collectively referred to as SCP-973.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • He stalked people who exceeded the standard speed set by him and attacked his target from behind, telling them to "run" as his police car moved faster than they could.
  • Once he catched his target, he destroyed their vehicle and then tortured them to death. He had done this to over 34 victims, with methods such as evisceration and even rape. This also includes something he does something so gruesome to his victims that it's data expunged.
  • He caused trauma to five survivors of his attacks, all in the custody of the SCP Foundation.
  • When the SCP Foundation blew up the road SCP-973-2 was using, he simply transported himself to another road, making it very difficult to stop his killing spree and marking him as a Euclid class SCP.
  • While the SCP Foundation series has incredibly high heinous standards, he stands out due to his low resources of simply being a humanoid driving a car and very unique methods in killing.
  • He's a sadist, considering that he posed as a police cop, told his victims to "run" and continued to speed up after them anyway, killed them gruesomely, and continued to do the same process over and over again. He also didn't have a distinguishable pattern.
  • Although there's not enough information about his crimes and it could just be referred by his one line, he displayed clear moral agency and was capable of normal communicating through radios.
  • It's been mentioned that SCP-973's effect is expanding, this means SCP-973-2 is going to commit his crimes on a larger scale.

Trivia[]

  • Adding onto his Pure Evil Status, SCP-973 as a whole is ranked #9 on Tat's TopVideo's Top 22 Scariest SCP II.
