“ | Kane: Congratulations Turok, that was a perfect strike. Unfortunately these aren't the targets, but we'll find them, even if we have to kill every goddamn peasant in this backward country. Kane: Grimes, burn it down, the rest of you fall out. (Looks towards Turok with the woman Turok accidentally injured) kill her. |

“ | We've had some interesting developments with the bug toxin. You'll be happy to know that we've been able to modify it into a form of gas that works extremely well in open spaces. Within 20 minutes the area had no trace of the gas and was completely safe for re-entry. Gentleman I believe we have discovered the perfect bio-weapon, Mendel Grumman will be paying extra when we bring this back. | „ |

Roland Kane is one of two main antagonists of the 2008 video game Turok.
He is a ruthless criminal that is currently working with Mendel Grumman troops on a terraformed planet to procure special bioweapons for the company to sell once they get back to Earth, leading to the events of the game with Whiskey Company attempting to apprehend him. However, the team ultimately end up stranded on the planet and now have to fight for survival against Kane's troops and the dangerous creatures that inhabit the planet.
He was voiced by the late Powers Boothe.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- After offering a group of prisoners a second chance at life if they joined his black ops team named Wolf Pack, he brutally trained them into becoming remorseless killers who had no qualms with murdering innocents with Turok being the sole exception to this.
- He also shows no care for them, telling Turok that he will never be as good as him and cutting a scar into his cheek for no reason, plus showing no care when his right-hand John Grimes is killed.
- Sends his team to kill a group of targets in Colombia that turn out to have just been innocent people as a cartel had already cleared the place out weeks prior. Despite this, Kane shows absolutely no remorse, even saying he will kill every peasant in the country if he has to in order to find his targets and personally killing a woman Turok accidentally injured when Turok refused just to demonstrate how little he cares.
- It is also stated in the game that Slade's brother was killed on a mission lead by Kane and it is shown that Turok still has PTSD from accidentally killing innocents even 3 years later, giving Kane points in personal cruelty.
- Worked with Mendel Grumman to find deadly bio-weapons on a different planet, terraforming it to sustain all kinds of life, which included dinosaurs and other dangerous creatures to inhabit it and kill anyone they came across.
- Shot down Whiskey Company's ship upon learning they were coming to arrest him, getting a lot of them killed and splitting up the survivors on the terraformed planet, where the majority of them would then be picked off either by Kane's men or the creatures that lived on the planet, leaving only 3 survivors left by the end of the game.
- Has Grimes attempt to corrupt Turok into rejoining him and personally attempt to murder Cowboy and later murder Cole with a bow.
- Upon finding out a group of scientists had accidentally died when dissecting some overgrown bugs, Kane showed glee at the potential of the toxin from the bugs and isolated it for further study.
- Causes the death of Logan by having his men gun him down from a helicopter.
- After modifying the bug toxin to work as a deadly gas, he tested it on 24 of his own men and killed every last one of them, showing fascination at such a potent bio-weapon and intending to sell it to Mendel Grumman when he returns to Earth in order to make some easy money.
- Has Grimes murder Reese by shooting him in the head with an arrow.
- Personally murders Cowboy just for standing up for Turok after Kane accused Turok of getting his entire unit killed.
- Attempts to escape to Earth after sending the rest of his men to kill the remaining 3 members of Whiskey Company to sell the bug toxin to Mendel Grumman, only being stopped because Turok chose to stay behind and prevent Kane from escaping alive.
- Showed no remorse for anything he did, fully believing himself to be in the right because he was simply "respecting the chain of command" instead of letting emotion cloud his judgement, which he criticized Turok for doing.
