Robert Hansen is the main antagonist of the 2013 crime thriller film The Frozen Ground. He is a fictionalized version of the late real-life serial killer who raped and murdered at least 17 women in Anchorage, Alaska in the late 1970s and early '80s after hunting them for sport.

He is portrayed by John Cusack.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • As a young man, he burned down a school bus garage to get even with the people who bullied him in high school.
  • He also kidnapped and raped a young housewife and a prostitute.
  • He terrorizes his wife and children.
  • He regularly cheats on his wife with prostitutes.
  • He kidnaps and rapes 17 women, then hunts them like big game and shoots them dead.
  • He keeps his victims' body parts as souvenirs.
  • He kidnaps and rapes Cindy Paulsen.
    • He is responsible for Cindy suffering from severe PTSD.
  • He stalks and attempts to kidnap Cindy.
  • He kidnaps and rapes Debbie Peters.
  • He keeps her chained up in his basement like a dog before hunting and killing her for sport.
  • He steals Debbie's necklace to keep as a souvenir.
  • He uses his son to hide all the evidence of his crimes.
  • He curses Cindy with misogynistic insults when she confronts him, unintentionally revealing his guilt.
