Rikako Oryo is a major antagonist in the first season of Psycho-Pass. She was an 18-year-old student at Oso Academy and President of the Art Club, having an admiration of the tragedies written by William Shakespeare for appealing her sadistic desires. By the intervention of her mentor, Shōgo Makishima, Rikako finally embraces her sadistic impulses and kills multiple schoolmates to create "monuments" to her father's art.

She was voiced by Maaya Sakamoto in Japanese and Brina Palencia in English, in which the former voiced Quinella in Sword Art Online: Alicization.

What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]

  • Even before Makishima meets her, she always had sadistic impulses to kill people and enjoyed the suffering of others, which is why she has an appreciation for the tragedies of Shakespeare and her father's gruesome work.
  • She only values her father for the gruesome artwork he made that depicts the graphic butchering of human bodies, but personally considers him a disappointment for abandoning his artistic ambitions when the Sibyl system came and welcomed them. She didn't even show any sadness when he actually died in front of him, and uses his death as an empty rhetoric for her own lust for blood and attention.
  • She lures in several of her unsuspecting classmates by acting friendly towards them before drugging and killing them all in cold-blood.
  • She also sadistically rapes all of her victims either before or after killing them.
  • She then butchers her classmates' corpses to create grotesque statues and has them all displayed for the world to see.
  • While all she claims she is giving her victims a mercy kill and making them "blossom gracefully" rather than trudge on with their miserable lives, with how much sexual pleasure she gains from the kills, it is obvious this is nothing more than an empty rhetoric. Kogami drills it down in his analysis of her "sculptures", and how none of them actually have any true messaging, and Rikako is just a sadist who simply wants to hog attention to herself under an empty facade.
