| ~ Ramirez threatening Brooke |
Richard Ramirez is a supporting antagonist in two seasons of American Horror Story. He first appears Hotel as a ghost attending an annual Devil's Night party consisting of the spirits of dead serial killers; he then appears in 1984 as his living self, pursuing a victim who got away to a summer camp. Both versions are based on the real-life Ramirez, who killed several women in Los Angeles in the early 1980s and claimed to be an acolyte of Satan.
In Hotel, he is portrayed by Anthony Ruivivar; in 1984, he is played by Zach Villa.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Just like his real life counterpart, he is responsible for several brutal home robberies in which he killed men and women alike. He even raped and tortured most.
- Although Ramirez says to Montana that he had a troubling childhood, where he was abused by his father and suffered from seizures after sustaining head injuries, his vile actions and crimes outweigh his tragedy.
- Despite Richard looking up to his cousin, Miguel, this is only out of mutual sadism, since Miguel was a murderer and rapist, whom showed Richard pictures of the women he raped and murdered. Richard even becomes a murderer and rapist later on.
- Sold his soul to the Devil in order to gain immortality and continue his killing spree.
- Attempted to kill Brooke Thompson in order to impress Montana Duke.
- Murdered a man who mocked Billy Idol.
- Stalked Brooke to Camp Redwood, before massacring the camp with help from Mr. Jingles and Margaret Booth.
- Summoned the Devil to break him out of prison.
- Plotted with Margaret to kill the musicians performing at her festival (except for Billy Idol).
- He only plots with Margaret out of mutual sadism and not out of genuine care for each other. He also has no reaction to her dying as well.
- Him having Billy Idol spared isn't only pragmatic, since he is his favorite artist of his hobby, and this runs moot considering he massacred other artists as well.
- He only plots with Margaret out of mutual sadism and not out of genuine care for each other. He also has no reaction to her dying as well.
- Massacring the entire band Kajagoogoo.
- Threateneed to kill Mr. Jingles' son Bobby and then attempting to kill him again as an adult.
- Tortured and murdered an innocent employee of the Hotel Cortez, along with the other "guests" at the Devil's Night Party.
- Despite being lovers with Montana, their "love" was only formed after him being annoyed at a student of Montana's who insulted Ramirez's favorite music. Their love is only due to their shared taste in music and due to her having him kill Brooke, which shows he only sees her as a pawn. He also deserts Montana when she dies and even tries to kill her ghost in the finale.
- While he suffers a punishment where he is fated to die by the hands of the ghost of Camp Redwood, only to be ressurected and killed again forever, he deserves it for how vile he is.
