FBI Special Agent Richard Perkins is the secondary antagonist of the 2018 interactive neo-noir thriller videogame Detroit: Become Human. Being sent on a mission to handle deviant androids, Perkins escalates the mission.
He was voice-acted and mo-capped by David Coburn.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He orders a squad of police officers to kill any and all deviant androids on sight within Jericho, even some that surrender while posing no real threat. Survivors are simply captured by the time Markus arms the explosives.
- If Markus gets shot after arming the explosives, Perkins executes the android leader personally just to have the pleasure of doing it himself.
- If the player chooses the peaceful route, Perkins will offer Markus a deal to spare their lives if they simply surrender. If Markus rejects the offer, Perkins will order his troops to attack the androids. If Markus accepts his deal and surrenders instead, Perkins murders him and North anyway before ordering his men to destroy the remaining androids.
- Worse yet, he rubs North's death and Markus' failure in the latter's face during the former scenario, indicating that he enjoys his job and isn't "just following orders".
- Overall, he has one of the highest kill counts in the entire game and is even despised by his fellow officers in the DCPD for his unpleasantness and sociopathy. Perkins is taken completely seriously and has zero redeeming qualities to speak of whatsoever.

- He is, along with Zlatko Andronikov, one of the only villains in the game to be Pure Evil.
