Running through this world, I can feel it. Coming apart one life at a time. I can hear all their stories, these people, their past and future histories. It's a world on the brink of annihilation, tearing itself apart. Hope and despair. Barry's hope of a single life saved dooming billions. He couldn't have made me a finer world.
~ Reverse-Flash after Barry Allen's death.

Eobard Thawne, also known as the Reverse-Flash, is the main antagonist of Tales from the Dark Multiverse — Flashpoint. After Barry Allen dies in a failed attempt to replicate the Speed Force, Thawne decides to make the world his own personal playground.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Overall, it's because of him that the dystopian Flashpoint timeline even exists in the first place for killing Nora Allen, the Flash's mother.
    • And not only that, after the Flash dies in a failed attempt to get his powers back and fix the timeline, Thawne cruelly mocks Flashpoint Batman over the fact that he could fix the timeline instead (and thus save young Bruce Wayne's life) since he has access to the Speed Force, but is instead actively dooming the world to its potential destruction by idly leaving the timeline as it is.
  • He deliberately got a former extra from a soap opera elected as President of the United States, knowing that there should've been an inspirational man with deep conviction and principle in office instead. This likely played a part in USA's economy's downward spiral during the Atlantean-Amazon War.
  • While taking over the White House, he brutally and singlehandedly kills Captain Cold, Pied Piper, Enchantress, Abin Sur, and destroys Cyborg's original body.
  • He singlehandedly kills around 1,000 Atlanteans, including Aquaman himself.
  • When the Amazons resume their invasion of Earth with help from Apokolips, Thawne risks mass paradoxes by changing several points in time, even creating a Gotham City without Batman by saving the Wayne family via murdering Joe Chill with his own bullet.
    • While this could be seen as a good thing as it precludes any of the Waynes from suffering any traumas and keep living as a happy family, Thawne did this not because of goodness in his heart but just to prevent Batman's existence due to his hatred for him, not to mention that he may have still disturbed them by killing Chill instead of merely neutralizing him and that their existences may be affected by the constants time paradoxes he frequently causes.
