The unnamed leader of the Resistance is a major antagonist in Dan the Man franchise, serving as the secondary antagonist of the web series' first season, and the final boss of the first game's main story.

He is an enigmatic ninja and member of the Resistance who fights for freedom and justice before he went rogue and chose to be a villain.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • While initially presented as a generic rebel with heroic purpose, he subverts all of it in the final stage, eventually revealing himself as a power hungry mass murderer instead.
  • Considering his actions, it can be inferred that he was pretending to be a hero for the whole time, just waiting for the right time to show his true nature. Under the impression of being Dan's ally, he uses the Ginger Ninja's strength and power to help him kill the most powerful men in the kingdom, taking all the power he can get.
  • He, from the beginning, chooses to act violent against the kingdom and not to be peaceful despite the peasants' insistence, also convinces Dan to side with ninjas. While this can be justified at a point as the Advisor and his guards are outright oppressing people for the whole time, considering the leader's nature, his main purpose to act violent is overthrow and destroy all of his threats and become the new tyrant, instead of providing peace for the village and kingdom.
  • He guns down the unarmed King after dragging him out of the toilet, and takes his crown to symbolically declare himself as the new king, showing his intention for taking over the kingdom.
  • He shoots the Hat Geezer in cold blood just for calling him out on murdering the King and taking his crown, completely showing his true nature.
  • In the series, he additionally shoots the surrendered Whistleblower in cold blood, even though Josie begged the Resistance to let go of him, since he helped her escape.
  • He orders his men to seek out and kill the Advisor, the only other figure of authority in the kingdom that threatens his rule.
  • Instead of helping Dan and Josie overpower the Advisor on the roof, he guns down all three of them to death. He later does a Resistance salute before he tears off his tunic in victory, demonstrating his hunger for power.
    • In the game, he kills the Advisor, the Bald Geezer and Dan/Josie instead, later confronts the player.
  • In the game, he attempts to kill the player with a gigantic mech he controls.
  • After being defeated by the player (the Bald Geezer in the series), he uses the last of his energy to detonate explosives set up in the sewers while laughing sadistically, destroying the castle and killing everyone inside of it, including his comrades and himself.
  • While all of his actions were reverted when the entire event of eighth stage has been completely reset after Dan lost a life and returned to the beginning of said stage, the Leader does not change his intentions and still tries to convince Dan into acting violent.
    • In the web series ending of eighth stage, Dan sides with the Resistance once more and is seen to rush into the castle with ninjas, which implies that the entire event will repeat and the Leader will try to succeed his main purpose once more.
    • In the first game's ending and the web series' ninth stage, Dan sides with peasants, beating the leader up and simply stopping him. However, this neither does detract from the leader's heinousness nor make him fail heinous standards, as he is never seen feeling remorse about his crimes, and stages afterwards follow an alternate scenario but not a continuation to the first scenario of eighth stage.
