Relius Clover is one of the main antagonists of the BlazBlue franchise and the arch-nemesis of Carl Clover and Valkenhayn R. Hellsing. He is Carl and Ada's father and the husband of Ignis. He is a Colonel in the engineering department for the Novus Orbis Librarium, and works alongside Hazama. He initially debuts as an NPC in BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, then became a playable character in Continuum Shift: Extend. In Central Fiction, he was revealed to be a former leader of the Ten Sages, known as One. His life-force value hovers around 9152.
He was voiced by Junichi Suwabe in Japanese and Travis Willingham in English, the former also voices the Younger D'Arby Brother in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Murdered his wife Ignis and his daughter Ada, with the former turned into his minion and the latter left incomplete for Carl to finish up on.
- Conspired with Terumi in creating the destructive Black Beast that ravaged most of the world.
- Orchestrated the Ikaruga Civil War to use the countless lives lost in order to power up Hades Izanami.
- Created Lambda-11, Noel Vermillion/Mu-12 and Nu-13, with Noel being the result of Ibukido getting orbit-bombed by Take-Mikazuchi, resulting in the deaths of everyone there.
- Overthrew Tenjo Amanohosaka as the leader of N.O.L. and replaced her with Hades: Izanami.
- Tortured Saya in order to allow Hades Izanami to possess her body.
- Assisted in killing Terumi's physical body after his fight with Ragna so he can hijack Takamagahara.
- Conspired with Relius Clover and Hades: Izanami to bring about Armageddon, killing further billions.
