The Quiet Librarian is the titular villain of the Are You Afraid of the Dark? episode "Tale of the Quiet Librarian".
While the show was notorious for its many monsters and villains, all of whom were willing to harm children, she stood out as one of the show's more disturbing antagonists as she was the ghost of a serial-kidnapper and murderer, who subjected her victims to an especially gruesome fate, even by the standards of the show.
She was portrayed by Anna MacCormack.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- In life she was a cruel woman who had a hatred of anyone who would make even the slightest sound in her library, she was especially hateful towards children and regularly punished them for the slightest noise.
- She would "perfect" her cruelty by creating a Quiet Room where she would spirit children away and presumably kill them.
- When she became a ghost her malevolence only grow worse as she trapped her many victims in eternal torture within the Quiet Room, where they would languish as the room slowly drained away their souls.
- She would collect the souls of victims via a cursed box and took obvious pleasure in doing so.
- Despite trying to justify her evil deeds with upholding order it was clear she was a sadistic woman who only used "law" as an excuse to inflict pain upon others.
