Pythie Frederica, also known by her real-life alias Yoshioka and later her Sage name Kashiki-akarukushi-hime, is one of the two main antagonists (alongside The First Lapis Lazuline) of the Magical Girl Raising Project franchise.

She was the former head for Magical Girl Resources Department who disliked the Magical Kingdom's system. She wants to find the "Ideal Magical Girl" who will reform the current system itself, in contrast to The First Lapis Lazuline who wanted to destroy the Magical Kingdom, as she sees it as corrupt and outdated. In reality, Pythie is a ruthless mastermind who is no different from the enemies she fights against: the Magical Kingdom. She is Keek and Snow White's former mentor, The First Lapis Lazuline's former ally turned rival, and Snow White and Ripple's arch-nemesis next to Cranberry and their most dangerous enemy to boot.

She was later revealed to be a co-conspirator of the death games alongside Cranberry, as well as being Keek and Tot Pop's mentor, making Pythie an influence to the events of the series starting from Unmarked.

What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]

In General[]

  • Despite Pythie's supposed well-intentions of reforming Magical Kingdom, she is revealed to be a delusional, sociopathic terrorist who uses others for her own twisted cause, even if it meant betraying them or even killing them just because they were no longer useful to her. This is exemplified when she allied with both the Investigation Team and the remaining Namiyama Magical Girls, only for Pythie to turn on them once Weddin encounters Rain Pow.
  • While she was responsible for mentoring Snow White, Keek, and Tot Pop as her students, none of them are done out of genuine purposes, but rather she does it in an attempt to mold them into the "Ideal Magical Girl", thus showing that it was just done out of pragmatism to fulfil her own goal.
    • In Snow White's case, both her and Ripple revealed her connection to Cranberry, leading to her being imprisoned. To add insult to injury, during the confrontation between Snow White and Ripple against her, Pythie discards all form of supposed care from her "student", after Snow White was fused into homunculus, showing that she was never loyal to her to begin with.
    • In Keek's case, she removed any memories of her, which was what led to Keek having a massive mental breakdown at the end of Restart after revealing that she is her protégé.
    • In Tot Pop's case, while she did show some genuine relationship to Tot as her own student, this gets subverted quickly after Pythie discards all care for Tot following her death at the hands of Rain Pow. To make things worse, the only reaction she got was of excitement and surprise, emotions that are clearly not genuine to begin with.
  • She is willing to put countless magical girls, with most of them ranging from children to teenagers, at risk just to selfishly fulfil her goals, while showing little to no care about their well-being.

Before Unmarked[]

  • Conspired with Cranberry to run the latter's death games, which makes her indirectly responsible for it as Pythie would attempt to continue her legacy in Snow White Raising Project.

Snow White Raising Project[]

  • Started with her "Ideal Magical Girl" plan by recreating another of the late Cranberry's death games, which not only failed badly whom she had no care about it, but it left one survivor: Keek, where both Snow White and Ripple uncovered her as the mastermind, as well as her connections to Cranberry.
  • Molded Keek into becoming her protégé, which not only enabled her into the villain that would later appear in Restart, but Pythie also wiped out any memories related to her to cover-up her connections to the rogue magical girl. Thanks to her, Keek would run her own death games through her Cyber World, kickstarting the events of Restart.

Limited[]

  • After being freed by Tot Pop, she would free both Pukin and Sonia Bean, two of the worst magical girls in Magical Kingdom's history, and started a massive prison break. Despite the obvious danger that her actions would cause, Pythie did not care and simply went along with it. Due to this, she's not only responsible for the deaths of Archfiend Pam, Hana Gekokujou, and the rest of Namiyama team (except Tepsekemei) but her criminal actions had caused Magical Kingdom officials to nearly blow up B-City to oblivion, an action that would have killed countless innocents who had nothing to do with it, just to simply contain the criminals running amok, with her playing a big hand on it.
  • Murdered the apartment owner, so she and the rest of her group would use the apartment for her evil schemes.
  • Allies with the rest of the Namiyama Magical Girls and the rest of Investigation Team, where she would only use it to trick Weddin into reaching the train station. She then used a loophole on her promise magic to kill both her and Rain Pow altogether.
  • After the end of the arc, Pythie would subject the injured Ripple into a year-long mind-rape through Pukin's rapier, whom she not only just gives her a personality, a magic, and even a whole new identity as Stanczyka, but she also decided to manipulate her at the end of JOKERS.

ACES & QUEENS[]

  • Manipulates the brainwashed Ripple into hunting down Premium Sachiko, where she would cruelly undo the brainwashing while Ripple kills Sachiko, simply for Pythie's own amusement. Not only this was a heinous act, but she caused Ripple to be on the run for the next two arcs, due to being bitter about her crime, making this a personal villainy as Ripple would plan on killing Pythie as revenge.
  • Defeated Ratsumukana-honome-no-kami in a battle, which she would soon brainwash her with a rapier, thus turning her into Kana, an act that would soon cause the former Sage great enmity once her memories came back. It was later elaborated at the end of WHITE that Pythie used the rapier to not only brainwash her, which led to the current Kana, but to also "corrupt" her.
  • Threw Fal's master terminal onto space with her magical crystal balls, leading to the Cyber Fairy getting trapped in outer space.
  • Infiltrated Umemizaki Private Academy and spied on Class 2-F's Group 2 to gather information.

The Colours Trilogy (Black, White, and Red)[]

  • Planned the attack of Umemizaki directly, an act that even Asmona was in aghast of. Similar to her previous moments, she doesn't care about the lives it would cost and the consequences it would wreak, being merely excited at the prospect of it, showing that she's willing to put countless magical girls in danger for no reason at all other than her selfish drive at achieving her "Ideal Magical Girl" goal.
    • This is elaborated further with her true goal: The Sage System. In reality, she does not just desire the "Ideal Magical Girl" agenda, but she is willing to play the role of the "villain" to find her "Ideal Magical Girl" for all of Magical Kingdom to see, which would mean more needless deaths from countless magical girls if this came to fruition. Unsurprisingly, Ripple would later call her out on her depraved goals.
  • Launched an ambush attack with her mercenary magical girls to assassinate Ripple and 0 Lulu.
  • Betrayed her Group 2 teammates including Thunder-General Adelheid after becoming the new reincarnation of Caspar.
  • Started a mass-invasion in Umemizaki, which includes the Magical Girl Class, killing several magical girls including Blade Brenda and Cannon Catherine.
  • Abandoned her mercenaries to their deathly fates at the hands of Old Blue's Princess Lightning's clones, whom Pythie disgustingly treats them as weak. Unsurprisingly, her remaining mercenaries soon abandoned her after realising how far she has gone off the rails with her goals.
  • Kills Tetty Goodgripp out of sheer sadism to spite Snow White.
  • Abandons Snow White, whom she later saw her as fake, showing that after all this time Pythie discarded any semblance of care for her former student.
  • Her death is not played for sympathy after she was karmically killed by Snow White and Ripple, thus avenging the magical girls who were killed during her reign of terror.
