Sorry about that. We like taking pictures of our guests every year, that way we'll never forget them.
~ The Pumpkin Rabbit, speaking about the photos on his walls.
What a naughty child... Wandering around the house. I'll have to punish you, for being such a misbehaved little bunny.
~ The Pumpkin Rabbit to Tammy.
Oh, you’re in trouble now. Playtime is over, children. This year’s hunt has been so delightful. It’s so much fun when they hide. But now I seek. And oh, when I find you, little bunnies. I will rip. And I will cut. And I will punish you.

Lorenzo Waterman, better known as the Pumpkin Rabbit is the main antagonist of the Walten Files's Halloween Special episode, The Mysterious House and its sequel The Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit.

He was originally a redesign of Bon the Bunny as a Halloween-themed character before getting a full spin-off video based on The Walten Files universe. He is a seemingly hospitable and cool-tempered person with an almost whimsical and playful way of speaking, to the point of near sociopathy. Even after killing someone, he continues this persona to the horror of his victims.

In The Mysterious House, he is voiced by series creator Martin Paredes. From The Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit onwards, he is voiced by Eva/Bravvyy.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

In General[]

  • Despite seemingly wanting to punish kids he deems as naughty, it comes of as a petty excuse when it is clear he is killing kids out of sadism.
  • He would use a strange book to keep the victims souls inside the house and used them to trick other victims into coming into the house.
  • He easily meets the standards given that the only other villains heinous enough, Bon the Bunny, Felix Kranken, and Witch Sheep still have things preventing them from being Pure Evil (Bon never hurts children and lacks moral agency, while Felix has way too many redeeming qualities, on top of having only two kills. Pumpkin Rabbit has a higher kill count than Witch Sheep and is overall more sadistic and cruel than the other villains.)
  • He enjoys turning his victims' corpses as decorations and props.
  • Although Witch Sheep is confirmed to be his wife, their relationship aren't revealed enough to say if he actually care about her.

Background[]

  • He and the Witch Sheep have been killing children, keeping pictures of them, and holding their corpses in the basement. Unlike the Witch Sheep, the Pumpkin Rabbit is confirmed to have killed children directly, while the Witch Sheep was only shown killing them indirectly.
  • Billy and TVA were Pumpkins Rabbit's first victims. Instead of killing them, he enslave them and made them help him and Witch Sheep with their vile deeds.
  • although it could be that Billy and TVA are just living corpses and that the Wattermans have killed them and use their souls as pawns just like with Duckie since when Tammy answers Billy he doesn't answer and just stands there without making any movement and this is more contrasted with The Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit since when Jay finds TVA he is already dead and used as a record player the same when he finds Billy turned into a scarecrow
  • Which suggests that the Watterman had already killed them and used their souls as pawns, which would indicate a much worse fate for them.
  • The pictures of his victims were first black-and-white before becoming colorful, implying he's been murdering children for years.
    • Although we didn't see the corpses of 2 children in the picture, that doesn't automatically mean that he let them go. It's possible that they're escaping or that Pumpkin Rabbit hides their bodies somewhere else.
    • It is also suggested that Lorenzo, when he was alive, already had supernatural powers, such as that he could already control souls and corpses like Billy and TVA, and the imitation, like when he calls Thammy as if he were Duckie, or it could also be that, like Billy, TVA controls Duckie's soul, attracting Thammy, and we could also see that he uses his soul in The Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit.

The Mysterious House[]

  • When Duckie said they should leave, Pumpkin Rabbit manipulates him and Tammy to stay so he and Witch Sheep can attack them.
  • He horribly killed and mutilated Duckie, to the point that his body looked like it was melting when it was found by Tammy. Even if the Witch Sheep did it, the Pumpkin Rabbit can still be held responsible, given that they're partners in crime.
    • We also saw the corpses of a few other children.
  • He mimics Duckies's voice lure Tammy into the basement where the corpses are which implies he want to scare her first before killing her.
  • After Tammy finds the room where the corpses are, he begins to accuse Tammy of being naughty for wondering around the house even though he is the one who lured her. Although he could also have controlled Duckie's soul to attract her.
  • Pumpkin Rabbit then kills Tammy too, tearing off her eyes and decapited.
  • He would then turn Tammy's corpse as a scare crow decoration.

The Return of the Pumpkin Rabbit[]

  • When the police enter the house, Pumpkin Rabbit hid the corpses so they can't be found.
  • When the town found out what Pumpkin Rabbit has done, they considered him so heinous to the point they took him and Witch Sheep and burned them alive in a attempt to kill them.
  • He would turn Billy and TVA's corpses into props.
  • He attempted to lure Ralph using his toy ball and when Ralph tries to get away, Pumpkin Rabbit chases after him and brutally claw Ralph's face and killed him.
  • He manipulated the spirit of Duckie to lure Paco into a room where he gets killed by Witch Sheep.
  • He would then mimic Ralph in a attempt to lure Jay but when that didn't work, he begins chasing Jay.
  • While his mental state has severally deteriorated, he still has a clear mortal agency as he admits to Jay and Dino that he and Witch Sheep are very bad people. This shows he is aware of the wrong doings of his actions but continues to insist that he punishes naughty kids and it makes him a hypocrite when he knows he is a bad person himself.
  • Pumpkin Rabbit then shows the dead body of Paco just to traumatize Jay and Dino.
  • He would then attempts to kill Dino by clawing his face.
  • When Jay has the book, Pumpkin Rabbit demands Jay to give it back to him despite everything he has done.
  • While Pumpkin Rabbit has a brutal death, being attacked by the corpses of his victims while being burned alive. He does deserved it due to all the horrible things he has done.
  • Even after his death, his actions still affected the town as many families were destroyed as a result of Pumpkin Rabbit's wrong doings.

Trivia[]

  • He's the only The Walten Files villain to be Pure Evil, despite not being canon to the actual series.
  • It's possible he was partially based on William Afton, a fellow Pure Evil.
  • The scene where Pumpkin Rabbit pleads Jay to give him his photo book is referencing a scene in Adventure Time where fellow Pure Evil, The Lich, pleads Finn the Human for the Enchiridion.
  • He wasn't firstly Pure Evil, because he was considered affably evil. However, it was revised.
  • It is not known what animal it really is because what it uses is a rabbit costume to attract its victims and in fact its face does not show much either.
  • He is one of the only analog horror villains to be pure evil alongside Satan (Kisterverse), The Clarks, and The Crescent King (The House in the Ocean).
