“ | Flash: It's me you want, Thawne. You don't have to kill thousands of innocents to bring me down. Zoom: No. No, I don't. But I choose to, knowing it will make your last moments pure agony. Goodbye. |

“ | Flash: I just wanted to save her. Zoom: Her hero. How noble. Oh, wait. You didn't stop JFK from getting assassinated, or make sure Hitler stayed in art school. You saved your mommy. You missed her. And in a supreme act of selfishness, shattered history like a rank amateur. Turned the world into a living Hell moments away from destruction, and I'm the villain? |

Eobard Thawne, also known as Professor Zoom, is the overarching antagonist of the DC Animated Movie Universe, serving as the main antagonist of both Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox and Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay. He is the archenemy of the Flash, seeking to destroy him and everything he stands for.
He was voiced by C. Thomas Howell, who also played The Reaper in Criminal Minds.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Strapped bombs at the Rogues (who're under his supposed payroll) to destroy ten square blocks of Central City and everyone within them, starting with the Flash Museum. Even when Flash turns the tables and sticks him to the wall with adhesive, Thawne doesn't care that he too would die in the explosion.
- Taunts Flash about being unable to save his mother Nora (who is hinted to have been killed by Thawne, especially since the movie directly adapts the comic). This is what causes the Flashpoint Timeline, as this provoked Flash into travelling back in time to save her, causing a major time boom.
- Although he saved Flashpoint Lois Lane from the Amazons, it was only to lure Flash into a trap by alerting him to his presence.
- Crippling and beating Flash to a pulp while he watches Earth slowly die around him, refusing to let him prevent the Flashpoint timeline from ever happening while completely unphased by the fact that he too would die from Captain Atom's explosion, stating that it will all be "totally worth it," as it would result in Flash's death.
- While he calls out Flash for selfish time travel to save his mother instead of doing it to prevent some tragedies like the assassination of John F. Kennedy or World War II, he just says so to spite him without really feeling sorry for the deaths such events caused.
- He presumably murders Steele Maxum and the police officer who arrested him.
- Although he treats Silver Banshee, Blockbuster, and Killer Frost well enough, it's only because he's living on borrowed time due to Flashpoint Batman shooting him, and he needs help getting the Get Out of Hell Free Card. He doesn't even show that much of a reaction to Killer Frost murdering the other 2 right in front of him after her betrayal.
- Brutally kills Vandal Savage (even though he deserved it) and Bronze Tiger to get said card.
