I AM PRINCESS SHROOB. YOU INTERLOPERS...WILL BE CONSUMED.
~ Princess Shroob
NOW YOU'VE DONE IT! YOU'RE USELESS NOW, PEACH! TIME TO FINISH YOU! YOU CANNOT ESCAPE! THIS KINGDOM IS MINE! I WILL DESTROY YOU ALL! DESTROY!!!
~ Princess Shroob before her battle.

Princess Shroob is the main antagonist of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time.

She is one of the two leaders of the Shroob race (with her sister, Elder Princess Shroob, being in highter authority) who sought to take over the Mushroom Kingdom with her sister after her home planet began to die.

What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]

  • Although the tragic loss of her home planet motivated the invasion of her and her sister of the Mushroom Kingdom in the past, she is never treated with any sympathy. Her own sadism and amusement shows how much she was already evil long before that event occurred.
  • Anyone who morally opposes or at least sets foot on her territory would end up getting eliminated, revealing her hypocrisy.
  • She was nothing short of brutal toward the Toad race: she had completely destroyed their residences and wiped out many (if not majority) of their population through a draining method that extracts their life force effectively killing them in a torturous manner. This is confirmed by numerous Toad spirits in the pipes of Vim factory, making her responsible for attempted genocide on all of Mushroom Kingdom's species.
  • She launched a missile to bring down the Koopa Cruiser, which was carrying Baby Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser—toddlers struggling to survive. The missile successfully caused the ship to crash. Baby Mario and Baby Luigi narrowly avoided falling into the lava, which would have resulted in their deaths. Meanwhile, Bowser's crew never made an appearance to confirm their survival.
  • She had a pair of Hammer Bros. controlled using antennas that had them saying and doing things against their will, much worse, many others have been shroobified along with their minds.
  • She placed a giant Yoshi-like creature called Yoob onto Yoshi's Island, instructing it to devour anyone in its path and eventually cannibalize Yoshis in order to convert them into Yoobs, who will be presumably used in genocide of the Mushroom Kingdom inhabitants.
    • Within the beast's belly, a multitude of broken bones, including ribcages, lie scattered across the floor and immersed in its acid. Skulls of Koopas can be seen, along with their undead counterparts, who themselves carry bones. Several Bullies, whose fates remain unknown, also inhabit its interior. Each doorway is adorned with bones and skulls, illustrating Yoob's ravenous consumption that ultimately led to many deaths.
  • In an utterly psychopathic move, she fed Princess Peach to Petey Piranha in order to celebrate her ruthless conquest of Mushroom Kingdom and gloated about it, showing just how remorseless she actually is.
  • Dangerously close, she planned to conquer the future Mushroom Kingdom. If it hadn't been for Bowser kidnapping her after mistaking her disguise for the real Peach, she would've repeated what she did all those years ago.
  • After abandoning her mission to take over the future Mushroom Kingdom and subsequently dropping Kylie off her mothership, it is very possible that she destroyed the Thwomp that landed on her ship, likely reducing it to rubble. However, there is no confirmation.
  • Even though she clearly enraged at Princess Peach for sealing her in the Cobalt Star, she never shows any visible concern for her sister. Instead, she just revels in ruling a kingdom designed solely after her and takes pleasure in her own power. She also seems apathetic at her sister's release, only demanding vengeance for her in her dying breath.
  • Although she displayed fear and even rage over the loss of her Shroob soldiers—particularly her best ones, who were killed by the two pairs of Mario Bros.—this ultimately underscores her egotism and clear desire for her species to dominate the Mushroom Kingdom. It also highlights her immense pride as the ruler.
    • Furthermore, she is completely unaffected by their cheering upon her arrival, dismissing them outright. She later erupts in anger over a delayed beverage. Upon fighting against Mothership, she releases Saucers and uses them as kamikaze bombs.
  • She is a threat only surpassed by Reclusa from Brothership, and since she is less powerful than him, she still counts.
