The Pirate Master is the overarching antagonist of the Shantae franchise, appearing as the main antagonist of the 2014 indie game Shantae and the Pirate's Curse. He is an undead pirate captain and the former mentor of Risky Boots.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Attempts genocide against the genies of Sequin Land to obtain their powers.
- Casts a curse among the islands, using the Dens of Evil, making creatures and people extremely hostile to Shantae and turning Tinkerbats into his monstrous Cacklebats.
- Tortures Risky for her betrayal, even though all that she did was escape with his ship and had nothing to do with his imprisonment in the first place.
- Taunts Shantae over the possibility of killing her mother through his genocide.
- Forces Shantae to hand over the dark magic, threatening to kill Risky if she refuses.
