But do it so nobody sees you, it's supposed to be a surprise. There's gonna be a festival close by and we're shooting up fireworks from the float, for people to see.
~ The Pirate Leader gloating his plan.

The Pirate Leader is the main antagonist of the 2020 movie High School Fleet: The Movie.

He is the ruthless, cruel leader of the unnamed pirate crew in the Pacific, whose intention is to unleash havoc towards the maritime cities of Japan in an act of genocide through a decommissioned seafort to further his motives of maritime piracy. He later uses Susan Reyes as his pawn as means to activate the seafort, before his plans would be soon foiled by the crew of Harekaze II and their allies, including the Blue Mermaids.

He was voiced by Kentaro Tone.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Willing to use Susan Reyes and her abilities as a tool to locate the abandoned seafort across the Pacific. He does so by using her missing father as means to make her give in to his heinous plans.
  • Has shown no regard and care for the lives that would lose in his plan, as he only exerts his brutality as a pirate for the joy of it.
  • Held the innocent crew of the water purification plant hostage, so that he would coerce and threaten them into making the seafort operational.
  • Planned to target the people of the maritime city of Yokosuka with the seafort, which would tantamount to massive casualties including innocents.
  • At the same time, if he were successful in his main intent, the Pirate Leader would then attack the other maritime cities of Japan with his seafort, which would give him a significant body count.
  • Unlike Kaoru Furushou and Thea Kreutzer, who were both villains by proxies through being brainwashed by the RATt Virus, the Pirate Leader commits all of his heinous crimes on his own accord as he was not brainwashed at all, thus proving that he has a clear moral agency, as he is well-aware of his intent to cause suffering towards the citizens of maritime Japan's cities.
  • The Pirate Leader easily passes HaiFuri's low heinous standard, as he was able to make use of his high resources as a pirate leader. He arguably easily sets the standards of this series, due to his unique crime of attempted mass-murder, mass-kidnapping and hostage-taking, which are acts completely unheard of within HaiFuri.

Trivia[]

  • The Pirate Leader is the only Pure Evil villain in the HaiFuri series.
