The Phantom is the main antagonist of Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies. He is an emotionless, highly skilled spy who has committed hundreds of atrocities such as murder, bombings and identity theft.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He worked for a terrorist organization and did everything they requested, no matter how horrendous the actions were, showing that he had no moral codes.
- He sabotaged the HAT-1 launch, which damaged the ship so badly that it started breaking down while it was in orbit, leading to the astronaut on board nearly dying.
- Solomon Starbuck's survival was considered a miracle from a situation that should have killed him and ended up leaving him heavily traumatized to the point of having PTSD over space and being unable to head back into space for over a decade.
- He killed Metis Cykes, which led to Athena making her corpse bleed further by mistakenly sending it to a repair machine and Simon taking the blame to protect Athena in the mistaken belief she accidentally killed her.
- Simon's wrongful conviction and Phoenix Wright's disbarment after being tricked into presenting forged evidence started The Dark Age of the Law.
- He attempted to kill Athena Cykes, Metis' eleven year old daughter, because she happened to be a witness.
- He killed, mutilated, and impersonated Bobby Fulbright in order to be able to tamper and erase the evidence of his crimes.
- Prior to the retrial of Simon Blackquill and the trial of Athena Cykes, he was only collaborative with the Wright Anything Agency lawyers to keep his cover as a good detective.
- He sabotaged the HAT-2 Launch.
- He killed Clay Terran and pinned the crime on Solomon Starbuck.
- He bombed the courtroom when Apollo came close to acquitting Solomon, nearly killing hundreds of innocents in the process.
- He pinned the crime on Athena Cykes when it was made clear that Solomon was innocent by lying about fingerprints on a lighter with blood belonging to her when they belonged to Terran.
- He tried to get away with his crimes by lying about being a secret agent looking for the phantom and being threatened with getting his family killed.
- He tried to appeal to the false friendship he showed Blackquill, but Athena couldn't detect any genuine emotions in him.
- He tried to sabotage the Mood Matrix reading of him.
- He is completely cold and emotionless, never showing any sign of remorse for his crimes.
- In her trial, Athena could not read real emotions when he supposedly cried.
- While the impersonations he did of previous characters like Aristotle Means or even Phoenix Wright were funny, they do not detract from the seriousness of his crimes.
