~ The Entity tormenting Thomas Eastwood. |
Peter the Pumpkin, also called The Entity by fans, is the main antagonist of M36games' indie horror game Andy's Apple Farm and its spinoff game Rabbit Knight.
It is a mysterious and seemingly demonic supernatural being seemingly coming from the Cinema Screen Monitor Portable Computer device. It terrorized the Eastwood Family, starting in 1982, and was directly responsible for numerous tragedies that plagued their lives, including the death of Louis Eastwood. In order to become stronger, it manipulated and possessed Thomas Eastwood into doing its bidding before imprisoning the souls of him, his family, and his best friend within his upcoming video game, Andy's Apple Farm by his company Eastwood Games. It managed to insert itself into the game's code and created a character named Peter the Pumpkin to further torture the imprisoned souls.
It has also seemingly inserted itself into the game codes of Rabbit Knight, another product by Eastwood Games to torment Thomas's brother, Jeffrey Eastwood, who it killed after taking in Thomas's daughter, Isabella Eastwood. It serves as both Andy the Apple/Thomas and Rory the Rabbit/Jeffrey's archenemy.
When disguised as Peter, he is voiced by Zechariah Beale.
What Makes It Pure Evil?[]
- Is implied to have frequently possessed Thomas Eastwood by gaining his trust through helping him with his video game.
- While Thomas's children, Louis and Isabella were out kayaking, it forced Isabella to push Louis into the lake and drowning him to death. This affected the family immensely as it caused:
- Isabella to suffer from immense guilt due to blaming herself for her brothers death.
- Thomas to blame Isabella, becoming abusive towards her then falling into a deep depression and divorcing Kamyrn.
- Louis to suffer a horrifying and traumatizing final moments of remembering his sister smiling as he drowned which he is still plagued by after his death.
- Is implied to have started the house fire that killed Thomas's wife Kamryn Eastwood and framed it on Thomas's best friend, Arthur King.
- Made Thomas brutally axe Arthur to death and blame it on himself while Isabella was watching, becoming traumatized by this due to seeing her father as a murderer.
- It killed Thomas after he outlived his usefulness.
- Attached itself to Isabella in hopes of completely controlling her and killing anybody who gets close to her, including her uncle Jeffrey and presumably her girlfriend Sam.
- Took the dead souls of the Eastwood Family into the CSMPC to further torture them.
- Lured Thomas/Andy in its house then mocks Thomas for being responsible for his family's deaths before proceeding to chase him.
- It also torments Jeffrey's soul in a different game, Rabbit Knight, then mocks him about how he can't save Isabella no matter what, even giving him false hope that he can save her just to snatch a screaming version of her away from him. After this it sends his soul over to Andy's Apple Farm.
- Although it's stated to feed on grief, it is shown to take great pleasure in its cruel actions and sadistically enjoys tormenting its victims.
- While it's unknown how much of the events in the game are its doing, it is still sadistic enough on his own to qualify for Pure Evil due to calculative destroying an entire family. If it has absolute control over the game code, that would mean it makes Thomas/Andy's friends steal his house keys and lock him in a house, regularly makes him remember his past life to torture him (and possibly the other victims), gives him a screaming severed head for a Christmas present and far other deeds. If this is confirmed to be his actions, it makes him only even more evil.
- It is heavily implied that the souls of the victims other than Thomas he placed in the game have at least some awareness of their existence since their thoughts are seen occasionally. This is further hinted in Monstrous Manor when Melody the Moon (possible stand-in for Isabella) accidentally calls Margret (stand-in for Kamyrn) "mom." If they are proven to be fully self-aware, this only makes the Entity far worse due to the suffering it causes them.
- While as its Peter disguise it has comedic moments, this is only a disguise and doesn't disqualify it since it isn't its true self. Plus, it loses these comedic moments when it breaks this disguise.
- Despite its relatively low kill count, it stands out for personally torturing an entire family in the most horrifying ways imaginable.
- It has a clear moral agency, being able to disguised itself as the good guy as Peter the Pumpkin and combined the fact it is highly intelligent which shows it knows right and wrong but enjoys being evil.
Trivia[]
- There exists a theory that he's a Tulpa that was created by Thomas's negative emotions. If this will be confirmed, it will make Peter the Pumpkin will remain pure evil due to have a clear moral agency.
