~ Stegman plotting to get back at Andy Norris. |
Peter Stegman is the main antagonist of the 1982 Canadian-American thriller film Class of 1984.
He leads a gang of Neo-Nazis and has an infamous reputation for running his school like he owns the place. He is well-known and feared by his fellow classmates and staff alike due to his ruthless and unhinged nature. He is the archenemy of Andy Norris.
He was portrayed by Timothy Van Patten.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- It's said by a cop that he and his gang committed several assaults, gang fights, and even raped a 14-year-old girl before the movie's events making him truely disturbing.
- He runs drug and prostitution rings, fine with stabbing anyone who dares to snitch on him.
- He and his gang started a fight with some black gangsters after he and his gang picked on one of them.
- He spends the whole film tormenting Andy Norris in any way possible.
- He would go very far even to skinning a lab full of animals alive in Terry's class.
- Framing Andy Norris for assault and attempted murder - over a piano when Andy refuses to let him have a role in the school orchestra.
- Due to skinning the animals alive, he caused the now mind-broken Terry Corrigan to crash himself in the streets after his attempt to murder Stegman.
- Having Vinnie stab Arthur during a food fight he caused for snitching.
- He and his gang would rape Diane Norris turn after turn while having photos taken.
- Kidnapped Diane and later had Patsy send one of the photos to Andy just to spite him.
- He had his gang torment, beat up, and attempt to kill Andy Norris.
- He attempts to kill Diane in front of Andy just so he can take himself and both of them down with him.
- When Andy offers to help Stegman up, he attempts to murder him for one last time before it leads to his downfall.
- Though Stegman's death by hanging was brutal and difficult to witness given his bloody and lifeless appearance, it was was necessary, justified, and well-deserved for his heinous and atrocious actions. Had he been saved by Norris shortly before his death, he would've still continued to operate under his illegal ring, torment Norris and several other people's lives with his gang and endangering said people whilst avoiding arrest given his youthful status.
- His relationship with his gang comes off as more mutual than anything genuine, most likely seeing them as pawns in his reach.
- Though he and his mother are on good terms, he keeps up a facade to prevent her from finding out about his real nature and is unlikely to care about her.
