~ The Penguin preparing to kill her son due to believing he is revealing information to Rupert Throne

Oswalda Cobblepot - also known as The Penguin - is a minor antagonist in the 2024 DC animated superhero show, Batman: Caped Crusader, appearing as the main antagonist in the episode, In Treacherous Waters She is a crime boss and the owner of the Iceberg Lounge who plans on taking over Rupert Throne as the main crime boss of Gotham City. To do this, she has launched missiles at several of his properties. When she learns that one of her sons has been revealing this information to Rupert Throne, she sets out to kill the mole.

She was voiced by Minnie Driver.

What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]

  • Blew up several warehouses owned by Rupert Thorne for the purposes of trying to kill him in a gang war, with her most recent explosion killing off several of his henchmen.
  • Starts a faux police fundraiser to scam the police out of their money.
  • Killed her own son Aaron by trapping him in a metal box and sending him into the ocean, causing him to drown.
    • We also see several other metal boxes in the ocean later on, showing that she routinely executes incompetent henchmen in this fashion.
  • When she realizes that her other son, Ronald, is the true mole, she sends her henchmen to kill him.
  • Upon realizing that her son is at the police station, she attempts to blow up the place which would lead to several innocent lives being taken.
  • Tries to kill Batman when he tries to stop her.
  • Shows no remorse when she realizes that Aaron was innocent and was only concerned with trying to kill Ronald.
  • Although she does express gratitude to Arnold Flass and Harvey Bullock for alerting her that Ronald was snitching to the police and states she will raise their salaries, she has no issue with blowing up the police department immediately afterwards which would have killed them, showing it's just pragmatism on her part.
