The seasons are distorted! The crops will be plundered and all living things shall die! The Earth's peril! This is the land of darkness I have wished for!
~ General Onox

Onox is the main antagonist of the manga adaptation of The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. This version of him has much more screen time and more in common with an actual general. He also has additional crimes to his plate. One of his new powers is him laying waste to the land by touching it.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Unlike his game counterpart, who has very little screentime, personality and limited crimes, this version has much more onscreen villainy, personality and personal cruelty that allows him to stand out.
  • He immediately attempts to kill Link only because the latter accidentally threw a stick at him.
  • He easily defeats Link and drains out his life force before leaving him for dead.
  • After abducting Din from the Temple of Seasons and imprisoning her, the seasons of Holodrum go berserk and cause disaster to the land, with Onox taunting Din that once he revives Ganon, the season havoc will affect the entire world.
  • When Link and his friends reach Onox's fortress, he uses Din as a meat shield.
  • After killing the chick Piyoko when she tried to distract him, he sadistically taunts Link as he mourns her sacrifice. He was also aware of the fact that Piyoko was a sentient and sapient creature.
  • In his final words after Link defeats him, he taunts him that he accomplished his goals and transferred his powers to Twinrova. His actions lit the Flame of Destruction.
