First we live. Then we die. In between is just blood and noise.
~ Omega Red's nihilistic philosophy.

Arkady Grigorievich Rossovich, better known as Omega Red, is a bloodthirsty mutant in the Marvel universe, equipped with retractable tentacles and the ability to survive almost anything due to his healing factor and Carbonadium armor. He's also one of Wolverine's archenemies alongside Sabretooth and Lady Deathstrike.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • He was a prolific serial killer even before he became Omega Red. As a child, he was responsible for the disappearance and mutilation of beggars and animals. As an adult, he murdered (and raped according to Word of God) young girls while in the military.
  • He regularly (and vampirically) drains out people's life force with his tentacles for survival, albeit without remorse and even enjoying himself while doing so.
  • He brutally ripped Katu Kath's arms off after massacring his entire village full of Inuits, including Katu's wife and son.
  • He tries to massacre an entire prison after being freed from his cell.
  • He kills Wildchild, impaling him with his tentacles before throwing him into lava.
  • He travels back and forth between numerous years in the past to go on a killing spree in an attempt to prevent the X-Men's existence, bodyjacking and killing several people and even threatening newborn/unborn babies (Professor X newborn, Daken unborn).
    • Even worse, said spree risks causing mass paradoxes by abusing the timestream, which would likely destroy reality itself by the time Omega Red was finished.
  • Overall, Omega Red is a nihilistic sociopath who lives for the sole purpose of causing bloodshed wherever he goes, and more often than not betrays those who try to redeem him in some way or another. Even Wolverine's other archnemesis, Sabretooth, has more redeeming qualities than Omega Red, since the former at least loved his mother and draws the line at pedophilia (as shown in Wolverine #127).
