Oliver G. Lobelia is one of the supporting characters in the 2017 video game Purgatory and the main antagonist of the 2021 video game Purgatory 2. He is one of Emma S. White's friends, who shows objection to the latter's decision of sending Enri Louvre into the Purgatory. In the second game, Purgatory 2, it is revealed that he is the member of House Lobelia, and is one of the members of Lobelia Corporation, a company that specializes in unethical experimentation including the creation of artificial demons for rather nefarious means.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?
- Although, he is mostly bionic, he still has a human brain. He clearly has a moral understanding of what is right and wrong, especially shown in the first game.
- He masterminded the events of the first game, using his friends to force the protagonist Enri into one of Lobelia's facilities controlled by a demon.
- He killed his best friend Lukas and disguised his corpse as himself to fake his death.
- He sends a horde of Demons to attack the Slum District just to kill one escaped employee who could risk spreading information about Lobelia. He feels no guilt for the countless lives and destruction he took.
- He sadistically taunts and plays around with Ebel and group instead of immediately killing them when they get trapped in Lobelia's facility, showing he takes immense gratidude in watching them struggle for their lives. He takes extreme joy in his sadism, even possibly on sexual levels. He uses his robotic powers and intelligence just to flex on the group and brag about his abilities.
