Oil Slick is a minor antagonist in the 2007 animated TV series, Transformers: Animated, debuting as the main antagonist of issue 3.5 of The Arrival tie-in comic series. He is a Decepticon mad scientist who is infamous for being the inventor of the dreaded chemical weapon, Cosmic Rust, a cyber-oxidant that corrodes all Cybertronians it touches to death. He later becomes a part of Team Chaar by the story's present.
He is voiced voiced by Phil LaMarr, who also voiced Count Veger in the Jack & Daxter Franchise.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Is a boastful chemical warrior who invented the Cosmic Rust, a horrible chemical weapon that will corrode all the Cybertronians infected to death, which will later be used numerous times by the Decepticons. Oil Slick takes great pride in creating such a horrific weapon that it is his primary weapon of choice in combat.
- Upon launching an assault on Hydrax Plateau, Oil Slick decides to use this as the debut of the Cosmic Rust by unleashing it onto the battlefield while his men were still present, just so he can marvel at the carnage that will ensue. The end result is the entire battlefield became a landfill of rusted corpses on both the sides of Autobots and Decepticons.
- When Ratchet was called to the scene, he even considers not only the use of chemical warfare, but having their own troops killed in the crossfire, to be a new low even for Decepticon cruelty.
- When he got hit by the Cosmic Rust thanks to some winds, Oil Slick feigns humanity and attempts to bond with Ratchert just to manipulate him into creating an antidote. Once cured, Oil Slick immediately stabs Ratchet in the back, mocking him for being too trusting and then infects him with Cosmic Rust in an attempt on his life, as gratitude for saving his.
- Takes part in the deadly Decepticon uprisings acrossing all across the galaxy, in which he uses the Cosmic Rust on Rodimus Prime.
