Odalia Blight is a major antagonist in the Cthulhu Mythos/The Owl House fanfic The Gods Awaken.

As the fic was written before her official debut, she is not the CEO of Blight Industries as the corporation does not exist. She is the archenemy of her daughter, Amity Blight, and coincidentally comes across as being a near accurate depiction of her canon version.

What Makes Her Pure Evil?

• She was the one who forced Amity to end her friendship with Willow due to her being weak.
• Upon being appointed by Nyarlathotep and imparted a staff to control Emperor Belos's sentient armor, Odalia decides to drain her own son Edric as a means of controlling the army.
• She disowns Amity as a daughter and tries to kill her repeatedly.
• Arriving on the Earth, she unleashes the sentient armor on a city resulting in several fatalities and collateral damage. During that time, a wicked smirk was on her face, highlighting both her sadism and hatred towards humans.
• Seeing that Luz and Amity had the Necronomicon in their possession, Odalia kidnaps a young boy and threatens to rip his head off.
• Much like her canon counterpart was aware of Belos trying to wipe out all life on the Boiling Isles but simply didn't care as long as she became lesser royalty due to thinking she would be spared, this Odalia was aware that Nyarlathotep plans on destroying all life in the Isles, but does not care as long as she benefits in the new world.
• After showing nothing but apathy for her son's worsening condition, Odalia resolves to use Emira as a replacement once her use of her twin brother ends.
• In order to avoid getting dragged into a portal where the Outer Gods ruled, Odalia tries to sacrifice Amity.

Trivia

• This version of Odalia Blight is, alongside Emperor Belos, one of the two villains from The Gods Awaken to be Pure Evil.
• Despite the fic being released before Season 2, it actually got a few details right about the canon Odalia, such as her being aware of a genocidal event but supporting it under the belief she will be spared and would benefit in the new world following it.
