Major General Nikita Dragovich (Russian: Никита Драгович) is the main antagonist of the 2010 first-person shooter video game Call of Duty: Black Ops.
He is a Major General of the Soviet Army and was responsible for the death of Dimitri Petrenko and other Soviet soldiers during the creation of Project Nova. He later conspired with Lev Kravchenko and Friedrich Steiner to weaponize Nova 6 and unleash it upon the United States. To do this, he had many Americans brainwashed as sleeper agents, one of them being Alex Mason.
He is the archenemy of both Alex Mason and Viktor Reznov.
He was voiced by Eamon Hunt.
What Makes Him Pure Evil[]
World at War[]
- Ordered Viktor Reznov and his men to fight an outnumbered battle in the Red Square of Stalingrad, under the false promise that he would be supplied with reinforcements, which resulted in nearly all of them being slaughtered in the massacre by General Heinrich Amsel. This resulted in Reznov holding a complete distrust of Dragovich and his right-hand man, Lev Kravchenko.
Before Black Ops[]
- Betrayed and killed his own soldiers to test his newly-acquired chemical weapon Nova 6, including Dimitri Petrenko and nearly Reznov. What's worse is that he did it because of unreasonable petty dislike to Reznov. He later captured Reznov and sent him to Vorkuta after he escaped.
- According to Reznov, Dragovich cut out Sergei Kozin's tongue with a rusted sickle out of Sergei's insolence towards him which is the main reason Sergei never talks.
Black Ops[]
- Saved Fidel Castro from being killed by Alex Mason during the Operation at the Bay of Pigs, thus being responsible for the Caribbean Crisis.
- He also doesn't care about Castro and saved him only for pragmatic reasons.
- Imprisoned thousands of Russians and Americans, including Alex Mason, in the forced labor camp Vorkuta. He also allows Vorkuta's guards to torture and kill prisoners.
- Attempted to brainwash Alex Mason into killing President John F. Kennedy. The only reason it didn't work was because Reznov sabotaged it.
- Sends Spetsnaz operatives to assassinate Dr. Daniel Clarke for being a loose end. After Clarke is killed by Dragovich’s men, they try to kill Hudson and Weaver.
- Kidnapped Frank Woods, Joseph Bowman, and Alex Mason (for the second time) and left him to be tortured in a Viet Cong base and forced to play Russian Roulette.
- Dragovich is responsible for the death of Bowman as he is killed by one of his operatives when he resists.
- Kidnapped and brainwashed hundreds of Americans to be used as sleeper agents in a gas attack against the United States.
- Betrayed anyone involved in his grand scheme whom he deemed as loose ends, which also includes Daniel Clarke and Friedrich Steiner, the latter who is also Pure Evil.
- Attempted to deploy Nova 6 on a mass scale to inflict widespread chemical warfare and mass murder across the United States via his sleeper agents.
After Black Ops[]
- Even after his death, Viktor "Stitch" Kuzmin carried out of Dragovich's operation to brainwash the Americans where he already completed his operation and accepted his death at Adler's hands.
