~ The Shadow-Beings on their master the Father of Shadows. |
Näkhäsh, also known as The Father of Shadows, is the ultimate overarching antagonist of Joseph Bongiorno's unpublished Star Wars novella Supernatural Encounters: The Trial and Transformation of Arhul Hextrophon. He was once the greatest of an angelic species known as the "Celestial Aons" but went on to create evil and becoming its ruler. Näkhäsh is currently residing within the Plane of Erets dimension.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Though made to serve good and be a servant of the Supreme Maker, Näkhäsh rebelled, and grew prideful of himself, creating his own notes, sowing discord, creating a new concept, Evil. He became the God of Evil.
- Plus, Näkhäsh was given free will, along with all of the other Celestials, so Näkhäsh is proven to have moral agency.
- Näkhäsh also has a sadistic personality to him, as he enjoys the suffering of others.
- Spread his evil corruption across the Eret dimension, causing mindless warfare between all Celestials and making the mortals who lived in the Eret dimension live in mindless warfare as well, causing millions of lives to be lost while the Father of Shadows gorged himself on all the pain and agony.
- Made the Eret dimension a source to all evil, where he will rule for many eons.
- Though trapped in the Eret dimension, Näkhäsh did every sort of evil he can by influencing other Celestials to wage war and cause destruction and have them destroy many universes.
- Sowed evil, and selfish thoughts into the Bedlam Spirit Tilotny, unknown to her, and made her corrupted and under his influence, telling her what she should do, such as:
- Making her turn against her father, Wuztek, and engaging incest with her brother, Cold Danda Sine, which produced an abomination, a spawn of the Father of Shadows, Typhojem, who would commit many crimes against the multiverse.
- Enslaving the human species from their home dimension and transporting them into the Star Wars Skyriver universe.
- Had Tilotny experiment her powers on a multitude of species, and engaging war against other Celestials.
- Betrayed Tilotny by having her killed by her son, Typhojem.
- Made Eipha, a Celestials, drink from the Font of Power, making him the Dark Side incarnate and spawning the Dark Side.
- Triggered thought in Mourning, telling her that her family will abandon her, urging her to drink from the Font of Power and Bathe in the Pool of Knowledge, twisting and transforming her into the chaos monster, Abeloth.
- His actions caused a turn of events that helped the Dark Side leak into the main universe.
- Plans to destroy the multiverse and recreate it in his own, twisted image once he plans to escape the Eret dimension.
- He is behind all of the evil and suffering in the Star Wars universe, which made other Pure Evils such as Vitiate and Emperor Palpatine rise to power.
Trivia[]
- Supernatural Encounters: The Trial and Transformation of Arhul Hextrophon was originally meant to be published by StarWars.com in their now-defunct Hyperspace section but plans for this fell through once StarWars.com's Hyperspace closed down and thus Lucasfilm Ltd. never approved Joseph Bongiorno's pitch for the novella. Had it been approved, Näkhäsh would have become an official Star Wars Pure Evil and would have been easily the worst of all of the Star Wars Legends continuity's villains.
- Among the inspirations Joseph Bongiorno had in mind when writing Näkhäsh were other Satan-like figures such as Nyarlathotep and Morgoth, which are very fitting, as both characters are similarly Pure Evil.
