Quentin Beck, also known known as Mysterio, is the main antagonist of the 2010 video game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. An illusionist tired of using conjuring tricks, Mysterio seeks the Tablet of Order and Chaos to make himself a god-like being so he can devour the Multiverse and reshape it into his own image.
He was voiced by David Kaye, who also voiced Klunk in Secret Agent Clank, Cronus in Class of Titans and Megatron in Transformers: Beast Wars and in the Unicron Trilogy.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Prior to the events of the game, he once used his illusionary skills to duplicate Spider-Man's abilities and framed him for a series of crimes, so he could then capture him as the newest "superhero".
- Overall, he is responsible for essentially everything that happens in the game, since the Tablet of Order and Chaos was broken in his attempt to steal it.
- He goes on a rampage after discovering that the Tablet has untold power, nearly having two policemen devoured by giant snakes.
- He holds Madame Web hostage and tortures her with sawblades, threatening to kill her if Spider-Man was unable to give him the remaining Tablet fragments.
- He tears apart the fabric of reality after acquiring full power of the Tablet, planning to devour every dimension until all of it is Mysterio himself. The effects would have been permanent had it not been for the four Spider-Men.
- Even though Mysterio is shown feeding his pet fish in the game's end credits, this does not inherently mean that he cares for them, as his attempted omnicide would have led to the fish's demise.
Trivia[]
- This version of Mysterio, along with his MCU incarnation, is one of two versions of Mysterio to be Pure Evil.
