Mr. Richards is the main villain of the creepypasta Patient 88. He is a degenerate serial killer who kidnaps women and holds them captive in his home, feeding them only small portions of food, and he does this with a little girl named Tavy, causing that after she dies she comes back as the titular homicidal ghost.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Before his debut, he had already killed a number of 7 and 8 women, whom he kidnapped and held captive in his home, feeding them only small portions of food, once every two days, until they finally died of starvation. His motivations for these crimes were his interest in knowing how much humans can endure with only small portions of food.
- He kidnapped Octavia (Tavy), a girl barely eight years old, whom he kidnapped and kept locked in his basement for days, forcing her to live next to the corpses of his other victims. At one point in captivity, he gouges out Tavy's eyes out of sadism. Although Tavy is rescued in time before dying, she eventually dies of the severity of her injuries after spending several agonizing days in the hospital.
- Richards' actions cause Tavy to become Patient 88 after death, making Richards indirectly responsible for the deaths of seven people, killed by Patient 88.
- Despite sharing the spotlight in the story with Patient 88, who also killed seven people, Richards easily stans out due to his fewer resources, greater sadism in his murders, and the fact that he comitted the crime of torture, kidnapping and mutilation.
- Although he appears for a short time, he has enough dialogue and apparitions to have a defined personality, being clearly sadistic and intelligent.
