Mr. Blingo is a minor antagonist of the Smiling Friends episode, Mr. President. He is a psychopathic, corrupt, genocidal dictator and the prime minister of Blingostan.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Before the events of the show, he infamously wiped an entire race of people off the face of the planet. While this can be considered off-screen villainy, the massacre he causes on-screen gives the audience a general idea of how his genocide went.
- After being emboldened by a clueless President Jimble, he ordered his army to invade another neighboring country, killing many innocent farmers, children, and animals.
- Despite his extremely low screen time, Mr. Blingo stands out thanks to his successful genocide and his status as a karma houdini, presumably going on to slaughter even more innocent people.
- While one could argue Mr. Frog did worse by taking over every country on Earth, Mr. Frog had bigger resources by that point, as he was the president of the United States and had redeeming qualities, allowing Mr. Blingo to stand out.
- While he's a very comedic character due to his scene being a parody of presidents having alliances with war criminals, none of the characters take him as a joke. Charlie outright hates him despite not being into politics, and Jimble only declared him an eternal ally because he was genuinely unaware of Mr. Blingo's crimes.
Trivia[]
- He is the only Smiling Friends character so far to be Pure Evil (albeit Silly Pure Evil to be exact).
- It is theorized he knew the intent of the press conference and still went because he knew Jimble would embolden him instead of condemning him. If true, this would make Mr. Blingo worse.
