Mourioche is a demon from Breton legend. Usually taking the form of a skeletal yearling colt with muscular human arms, he appears on the road at night to cruelly torment and kill night-time travellers for his own amusement.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He forces passers-by to play sadistic and often deadly "games" for his own amusement, such as:
- Tricking them into riding on his back before dragging them into a nearby river to drown, sometimes using his shapeshifting powers to stretch his back out in order to carry multiple riders to this fate.
- Forcing them into wrestling matches and brutalizing them with his muscular arms before tossing them into ditches.
- Latching onto their backs and making them carry him around until they die from exhaustion.
- Following those who refuse to engage with his games and psychologically tormenting them by changing shape every time they look away and making unnatural noises in order to break them into participating.
- One particularly cruel drawn-out prank he played on a farmer involved spending several nights in his barn shifting into various livestock animals in order to mess with the farmer before butchering all his animals, destroying his farm and abducting and presumably killing his three children, taunting the farmer by leaving a golden bracelet behind as "payment" for the fun he'd had.
- Possesses the corpses of the recently deceased in order to torment their families by cruelly insulting them under the guise of their dead loved ones.
