At long last... MEGATRONUS, STANDS TRIUMPHANT!!!
~ The Fallen after his entrance.

Megatronus Prime, also known as The Fallen, is the overarching antagonist of the first season of the 2015 animated series, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, a sequel to Transformers: Prime.

He was one of the original Thirteen Primes created by Primus, before he was banished after killing Solus Prime and sealed in another dimension. His actions are among the reasons why he was the namesake for the Decepticon leader Megatron.

He was voiced by Gil Gerard.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • He murdered Solus Prime, leading to his exile on an alternate dimension.
  • While the prison-ship Alchemor was passing by the Earth Megatronus once again ripped the universal strings of the dimension in which he was trapped, causing the ship to crash on the planet and freeing many Decepticon fugitives in the process. Later on, he enlisted Steeljaw and his pack to serve as his lieutenants and create a Space Bridge that could free him from the dimension.
  • Forces Steeljaw to work faster by having one of his minions Clampdown slowly amputate his own arm.
  • Upon reaching to his staff, Megatronus then attempted to combine the Dark Energon from Earth's core with the Pure Energon from Cybertron's to cause both planets to explode, wiping out all life on both planets, leading to perhaps the biggest individual mass murder attempts in both series, all out of spite for his well-deserved exile.
    • He also takes great joy mocking Steeljaw on how his plans for annihilation is to leave Steeljaw with only a barren husk to rule, renegading their deal.
  • Angered that his plan failed, he tried to kill Optimus and the Autobots out of spite. Bumblebee and his team managed to weaken him with the statue's arm, leaving him distracted, and he was finished off with a beam, presumably killing him and ending his reign of terror for good, though Bumblebee questions himself if Megatronus is truly gone.

Trivia[]

  • The Fallen is the only Pure Evil Villain from the Aligned Continuity to come from Robots in Disguise: all the other Aligned Pure Evils came from Prime or the War for Cybertron games. This is also, alongside his Generation One and live-action incarnations, one of three incarnations of The Fallen to be Pure Evil.
  • When it comes to the "Aligned" continuity, Megatronus only counts in Robots in Disguise. In his other appearances, which are Exodus and the Covenant of Primus, Megatronus' backstory is presented on a more sympathetic light where he was unfairly ostracized by his older brothers for superstitions and then the Liege Maximo playing on his paranoia with even his killing of Solus being an accident in which his exile was actually self-imposed to deal with guilt, different from how such backstory was portrayed in this series to show him as a willingly evil, unrepentant psychopath
