Megatron is the main antagonist of the 2020 crossover comic book mini-series Transformers vs. The Terminator.
Much like his original counterpart from Generation One, he is the ruthless founder and leader of the Decepticons who believes in peace through tyranny, and wants to conquer the universe. Upon arriving on Earth, he restarted the war as well as beginning a genocide against humanity, coming at odds with the A.I. known as Skynet. He is also the archenemy of his former brother-in-arms Optimus Prime.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Upon reactivation in 1984, he and the other Decepticons killed the Autobots inside the Ark before they could be reactivated.
- He waged a brutal campaign against Skywatch that resulted in humanity being extinguished, leaving only their computerized defense network Skynet and it's creations, the Terminators, to continue the war.
- While this happened off-panel, it still has an impact on the plot, as this is why Skynet deduced that all Cybertronians are inheritly evil and must be killed off, despite the Autobots being the good ones.
- Upon learning about the deception and Skynet's true plan, he sent the Seekers and the Insecticons to destroy it's core.
- While he wasn't shown mistreating the Decepticons and even ordered their revival, nothing indicates he cares for them, and he most likely only ordered such act just so he could have an army to rule. This is futher demonstrated by the fact he didn't show concern, anger or sadness when they died in battle.
- After Sarah Connor helped revive Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, Megatron ordered the Decepticons to retreat, but not before firing a shot at the Ark that damaged most of the still-dormant Autobots.
- He an attack at Cyberdyne Systems with intent on killing all of it's employees so that Skynet would never come to exist.
- He shot down Starscream and the T-800 when they engaged him, mostly towards the former for betraying him.
- He tried to kill Optimus Prime before Arcee threw the T-800 towards the wound on his chest and into his spark chamber to fire fired at his spark.
- Despite having some comedic moments such as his villainous breakdown, they don't distract too much from his villainy and his crimes are taken seriously.
- Despite having been revived as Skynet's A.I. along with the T-800, nothing indicates he developed moral agency issues, with his smirk suggesting he's still the same irredeemable tyrant he was.
