NOTE: This page is only about Megatron/Galvatron as Gigatron/Devil Gigatron was not voted Pure Evil, and thus only Megatron/Galvatron's info and crimes should be put here. |
“ | Megatron: Don't be a fool, Prime. We can share this planet's resources. Optimus Prime: Not a chance Megatron. I won't let you to plunder this planet and leave it as a lifeless barren rock as you have in countless other words. I'm going to take you down. |

“ | T-AI: Prime, this is really serious. Galvatron started attacking children and Koji has already been assaulted. Omega Prime: He's gone too far this time. Galvatron, it is bad enough when you attack innocent children, but this one is a friend of mine. I will destroy if it is the last thing I do. You have my word on it. Galvatron: You might as well get used to the that you're antique, you're through, you're helpless Omega Prime. My forces will destroy your troops and steal your weaponry. The future of the children of this planet are on my hand. Soon this place will cease to exist. And after I'm done here, planet by planet, I'll take over the entire universe. I really have to admit my plan is working brilliantly, do you agree Omega Prime. I don't know which is more enjoyable, controlling all the children or your inability to do anything about it. Omega Prime: You're dead wrong if you think if I won't stop you. It won't seems so funny when I get through with you. Galvatron: Don't even think about fighting me. First of all, you are no match for my new strength thanks to Fortress Maximus. And secondly, you don't want me to harm the kids, do you? |

Megatron, later Galvatron, is the main antagonist of the 2001-2002 anime Transformers: Robots in Disguise, known in Japan as the 2000 anime Transformers: Car Robots.
He is the leader of the Predacons, and an infamous conqueror who turned multiple planets to lifeless husks upon conquering them, before moving to Earth to find Fortress Maximus and use him to conquer the entire universe, placing him at odds with the Autobots. Initially, Megatron would often sit back from a conflict and allow his subordinates to do the dirty work, but as Galvatron, he would become more active. While arrogant, diabolical, and manipulative Megatron was also incompetent and unprofessional, as most of his schemes were badly planned and badly executed. Megatron was a six-changer, able to transform into five additional modes aside from his robot form - a twin-headed dragon, a bat-gargoyle creature, a race car, a spaceship, and a claw. After becoming Galvatron, he gained an additional four modes, including a hydrofoil, a griffin, a pterodactyl, and an elephant. He also has the ability to absorb energy from other lifeforms, making him an "energy vampire". Each form has its own different frightening capabilities, making Galvatron a very unstable and unpredictable fighter.
While he fails the heinous standards of the Japanese dub of the anime due to it being canon to the Japanese Generation One Continuity (as everything about G1, including the Beast Era, is canon to the 1984 cartoon's continuity in Japan), the English dub reworked the anime as a complete reboot that is set in it's own continuity, allowing his crimes to stand out much more.
He was voiced by Daniel Riordan.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- In the past, upon plundering all the planets he conquered in his quest for universal domination, Megatron destroyed the planets as a result. It isn't offscreen villainy as it is why Optimus wants to stop Megatron from plundering Earth, and Galvatron himself states that soon after taking over Earth, it will cease to exist as well and that Omega Prime says he will not allow him to destroy the planet.
- Probes Dr. Kenneth Onichi with about 9,000 volts; Sky-Byte questions if Dr. Onichi will even survive.
- Steals Autobot protoforms and uses his sparks to corrupt theirs to turn them into Decepticons and brainwash them to villainy.
- While Megatron had genuine respect for his men if they proved themselves worthy, upon becoming Galvatron, he outright discards any respect and care for his men, draining the energy of Gas Skunk, Darkscream and Slapper to fuel his rebirth.
- Upon Scourge's betrayal, Galvatron turns him and all the other Decepticons into mindless drones in a very painful manner as well. And to show how bad reducing them to mindless drones are, even after Galvatron attempts to have them killed, due to erasing all their free will, they are still forced to be undyingly loyal to him.
- To heal himself, Galvatron drains the energy of Fortress Maximus and nearly kills him as a result.
- With great sadistic relish, Galvatron sends cyber-bats to swarm the world and brainwash all the children on the planet to make them his slaves in conquering the world. It is taken with desired gravity as:
- The process was clearly painful with some uncomfortably horrifying wails and screams as the children's suffer when the cyber-bats take control over them for an agonizingly long time.
- The cyber-bats were so deeply implanted onto them that any forceful attempt would cause brain damage to the children.
- Galvatron sadistically threatens their lives to force Optimus into ceasefire.
- Galvatron himself would use this as a common method in conquering he universe, brainwashing the children of all the other planets he will move on to.
- With this, Optimus considers Megatron too far gone and beyond redemption, even having vowed to destroy him before Megatron threatened the children's lives.
- When The Autobots flee into the Space Bridge Network, Megatron tries to kill them all by sending the Decepticons to collapse it, with the main intentions of having them and even other of his loyal Predacon minions killed on the crossfire when it turns out they were also present, gleefully sacrificing all his men to have the entire planet for himself.
Trivia[]
- Only Megatron/Galvatron can be considered Pure Evil, while Gigatron/Devil Gigatron (the anime's antagonist in the Japanese dub, who is portrayed as a separate character from Megatron in the Japanese Generation One Continuity) can't because he fails the heinous standards of the Japanese Generation One Continuity miserably due to said heinous standards being absurdly high due to everything related to G1 being canon to said continuity. Not to mention that he redeems himself in the tie-in manga that are set after the events of the Japanese dub of the anime.
- This is by far the only incarnation of Megatron (and a Pure Evil one at that) to be portrayed as a separate character from Megatron in a different continuity.
