Megatron is the main antagonist of the Transformers franchise, most notably serving as the leader of the Decepticons and Optimus Prime's arch-enemy. Megatron in the original comic and cartoon was pure evil, so many future incarnations of him followed suit. Sometimes he is reborn as Galvatron.
