Do you recognize them? They're your shame... your greatest failure! You abandoned the, left them to die in the neutronic holocaust! Yesss! I see your terror, Jazz. I see your despair. I know you would welcome death, welcome relief from these ghosts that haunt your walking nightmares! So I intend to make your deaths slow and painful... and very long in coming! Just like last time...
~ Megadeath revealing his survival to the Magnificent Six

Megadeath is the main antagonist Transformers Annual 1991 story, "The Magnificent Six". He is a disgraced Decepticon general who upon seizing neutron bombs sought to do all he can to sterilize Cybertron of nearly all life so the Decepticons are all that's left to conquer with him as the supreme leader. He is the archenemy of the titular Magnificent Six team, consisting of Inferno, Jazz, Prowl, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack and the late Stampede, and the mentor of Thunderwing.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Upon seizing neutron bombs, Megadeath proposed to the Decepticon High Command for a new strategy to "nuke and conquer" in order to clear off regions of all non-Decepticon life for the Decepticons to swoop in and conquer, wanting this to happen to occur in every last region in Cybertron piece by piece until the Decepticons are all that's left to rule.
  • When the Decepticon High Command balked at the suggestion, deeming it too much for even their standards, Megadeath goes behind everyone's backs to further his nuclear plans himself, while gathering an army to challenge and dethrone Megatron as the Decepticons' supreme leader. Megadeath begins his plans by laying neutron bombs all around the region of Stanix to nuke it as a start.
  • Has his men invade the city of Yuss and kill of all the neutralist civilians present there.
  • When the Autobot team, the Magnificent Six, interfere with his attacks, Megadeath orders his forces to lay waste to Yuss until the civilians are forced to sell out the Magnificent Six in hopes of protection.
  • With the Magnificent Six captured, Megadeath has them subjected to horrendous torture, involving slowly melting them and driving them to insanity and welcoming death, all lasting for an entire weak, while only sparing Stampede so that he can be forced to watch the suffering of his comrades. Even his protégé, Thunderwing, secretly resents Megadeath's sadism during the tortures, feeling the Magnificent Six were valiant foes that should be put down honorably.
  • On the seventh and final day, plays a sadistic mind-game with the Magnificent Six to shoot him before he snaps Stampede's neck at the end of his 6-second countdown, expecting them to be so broken to be even able to react.
  • Sets the Magnificent Six free upon killing Stampede to paly one last mind-game, revealing he locked up all the civilians in Yuss and that they can either risk their lives saving the people who betrayed before the bombs are set off 2 hours from then, or abandon dozens of civilians to die for their safety and forever live with that guilt.
  • Has the entire city of Yuss nuked, leading to most of the Stanix region turned into an irradiated wasteland called the Acid Waste. This act leads to Megadeath's name forever disgraced in both Autobot and Decepticon memory.
  • Upon finding out the civilian population of Yuss weren't actually killed by his neutron bombs but were instead turned into feral mutants thanks to the radioactive fallout, Megadeath enslaves them all for his own bidding.
  • Has his mutant slaves viciously maul his old enemies and their ally, Silverbolt once again, to capture them and subject them to even worse torture than the one he inflicted them on the past.
  • When finally faced with defeat, Megadeath spitefully destroys his own nuclear core to create an explosion that would take the Autobots down with him.
