Back to your old life? Back to nothing? Back to your two point five screaming blighters and your dead end job and sucking off the dole? You don't want that, love. This microchip is scary, I know. But I got to keep tracks on my merchandise, don't I? And this kitchen knife, that won't do it love. Cutting yourself affects my bottom line!
~ Mary berating one of her slaves.

Mary Kelley is a major antagonist of the 2020 video game Watch Dogs: Legion, serving as the main antagonist of the Clan Kelley chapter. She is the leader of Clan Kelley who worked with Nigel Cass and Sabine Brandt in the Zero Day bombings.

She was voiced by Pooky Quesnel.

What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]

  • She killed her father and husband to get revenge on them, although they did deserve it.
  • She helped Sabine Brandt with the Zero Day bombings, which caused the deaths of thousands of people.
  • She commited crimes such as prostitution and arms dealing during her time as the leader of Clan Kelley.
  • She used the European Processing Centre to abduct immigrants and imprisoned dissidents, who would then be implanted with a microchip allowing her to kill them with the press of a button, pimped out until they were of no further use, killed and then have their organs sold on the black market, or else be sold as slaves or enslaved by Mary in her home.
  • She taunted Kaitlin Lau over not being able to get revenge for her dead slaves by telling her to contact her families to further mock her before having her abducted and taken to the Southwark Incinerator to have her organs harvested.
  • After one of her slaves cut herself to take her microchip off, Kelley killed her and used her organs for profit, even in front of her slaves and told them to spread the word on what happens if they disobey her.
  • After DedSec came into her mansion and freed her slaves, Mary killed several of them when they tried to kill her, even gutting one of them with a screwdriver.
  • In her last moments, she attempted to go to jail to avoid being killed by her former slaves, but not before telling them that she would escape not long after that and told her former slaves that she would finish them off after she escapes. To make sure that Mary wouldn't get away with her crimes, Kaitlin allowed her former slaves to beat her to death.
  • While she does have a backstory of her father making her marry a drunk who she didn't like just because he didn't want her in control of Clan Kelley due to her gender, this does nothing to justify how cruel she was towards her slaves nor was it made to sympathize with her.
  • She lacks the redeeming qualities and comedic moments even the most horrible characters in Watch Dogs have, serving as an example of how humans can be heartless people while doing their best to not portray her in a comedic light.

Trivia[]

  • Along with Lucky Quinn, Mary Kelley is one of the two Watch Dogs villains to be Pure Evil.
